So I'm officially back people! Get excited UHa I'm here to kick some major senior ass!
I moved in on Thursday. Heres the thing. I believed I would be moving in on Friday so I gave myself one day to pack and told work my last day would be Wednesday. Oh no. I'm then told that I'd be moving in on Thursday giving myself less then 24 hours to pack everything. Awesome. So Thursday rolls around and I go to get my key. Oh there are no keys yet because the Howie's Helpers list still isn't complete.. Awesome. So my family and I load all of my stuff into the hallway outside of my door so my dad and sister don't have to wait around with us. My mom and I sit and wait for a call from Res Life for an hour...Not cool. Luckily one of the RAs kept walking by and was like "I'll make some calls and see if I can get you in" thank you Shakeema! So we get in and unpack my shit. Katie arrives and my life is once again complete. Oh how I've missed her!
Cut to Friday, Howie's Helpers wasn't too bad because we only had a half day shift and most of the families were very self sufficient. We were actually told we weren't obligated to do anything-who tells volunteers that? UHa thats who haha. Anyways, since Katie and I hadn't had an eight hour night in about three days we were still totally wrecked after this day and just wanted to pass the shit out.
Today-full work day and what do we get? Right from jump we get two families with heavy ass shit going to the fourth floor. Fantastic... We have been to the fourth floor today at least ten times. Katie and I have carried things that were bigger then us. Who loads up bags like that knowing they have to go to the fourth floor? Dummies thats who! I mean damn homes! Whatever. Its all done now and tomorrow is our sleep-in, meet the new roommates day. Should be really nice.
Nicole moved in today and we like her a lot. Shes actually a sophomore who had terrible roommates her freshman year so Katie and I are on a mission to make her feel comfortable and happy with us since we know exactly how it is to live with complete psychos (every year so far!!) and we talked to Erica today and she seems equally pleasant. Katie already knows she'll be awesome because she is just as goofy as we are - oh this year will be interesting...
I'm not happy being a senior. I keep catching myself saying things like 'next year we'll do this..' or 'yeah and next year..' but no. There will be no next year. This is my last year. I'm gonna make it count though. I have to....
