I'm dropping my figure modeling class and oh my god am I ever happy about it! Its such dead weight, a waste of my nights and now I have room to take another ceramics course so hooray! I honestly thought I would be able to stick it out and that it would be a real benefit for me to take. But no. No I can't and it isn't. I've talked to about five people who took the class before and they all agreed it benefited me in no way in the end and I don't even need it for my majors so it would just be best if I dropped it so I could have that time for other things. So shit, here we go!
My critique in sculpture went really well so that was also good and holy shit-we got out early! Thats unheard of in the art school people... Critiques of 10 peoples' works? And out with an hour to spare? Excuse me? Yes. Its true and oh man was it ever wonderful....
Ladies and Gents, Red Key will be conducting a Valentine's fundraiser coming soon so look out for my away messages and our signs and be ready to pay up bitches! I mean um..please support us..and give us money....
So Katie informed me earlier in the week that the crew from Viva La Bam, including Don Vito, would be at Club Blu this Friday. Personally I think that is the silliest thing I have ever heard but I really want to go! Damned Blu for not allowing people under 21 in on Fridays! Damned May birthday! Anyways-I doubt it'll be that amazing. They won't be able to do anything, that place is mad tiny and all kinds of crowded. They'll hate the music too, but they might get incredibly drunk and do some really fucking stupid shit. Maybe Blu will have to make some repairs after the boys leave? Lets hope some major damage is done this weekend thats all I can say....
Okay..Is there anything else? Oh yes, the Juniors along with some Sophomores at the Hartford Art School, myself included, will be exhibiting works in the Silpe gallery in February. The show opens on the 18th and I would love it if all ya'll could show up and support me and my fellow artisans. There will be free food so hey-its not like a total waste of your time... Also, this is a big deal. Usually we only get two shows all four years we're here: our freshman show and our senior show. Derek and Andy have been working really hard to get this show together so you'd be supporting them if you came too. Even if you don't know Derek or Andy it would still mean a lot-these guys have pulled off what was once considered impossible...
