As usual, this is my annual running event, perhaps cause you may think its the cheapest (yes!) and it has got many cute army guys (yuppers!) but however what matters most is that this is the event where I started of my fitness regime. I was introduced to this event by a girlfriend called Rachel is who a tri-athlete. She is currently studying and perhaps staying in Australia doing her Masters in Human Movement so unfortunately as it is, she cannot join me anymore however....

This year event was great. I did my own personal best timing of 1hr 52 mins. It is faster than my last two or three years timing. It is faster by 1/2 hour than my last year timing at least.

At the starting line, I met so many LJ friends, sebbyboi (I think) and airborne67 and etc, sorry am bad at remembering names and stuff but yah, everyone familiar were there and I was so glad to run in a company of friends. I started the race off with two friends, one of them which I know Titus and the other his friend and we were running together until Sheares Bridge when they both decided to "Open Stride" to climb up the road and then they left me to feed their dust. Most importantly, I kept on reminding myself its my own race and body, so I cannot expect myself to do what they can and waste my energy so fast and thus I conserved and just kept on pacing myself with the PACERS (They have great pacers this year....well done!). However I felt that they started me off at a very good pace, if not I would have lagged behind and not done my personal best this year.

I met bullfrog85 at ECP after the 10km run. In fact he was the one that spotted me. I was already 1/2 way there to going into a trance already and he was so nice to spot me and so there we were, running together from ECP all the way to around Kallang Rd where we split up. It's so nice to have someone just slowed his pace down and just kept on pushing you. Very good motivator lor and he can damn well run, always taking over people and again for me, I just kept on pushing my mind to keep up with that pace that he set and again this is where I think I managed to break through my old records. HOWEVER, he not bad either....CAN RUN (while I was almost freaking dying) AND STILL ASK ME THINGS LIKE...Eh you got see that guy on the other side of the lane running a not...so cute...(I was like having a mental war with myself lor and he can look at cute guys) NOT ONCE BUT SO MANY TIMES...

So there I was, after separating from Ben aka bullfrog85 (horny frog) and on my own running. I actually closed my eyes and really brought my self into a deep mind relaxation exercise while I run, practically running without my eyes open for a while and just imagining myself mentally relaxed and calm. It did help but I can't do it many times cause I slowed down for a while so I then made the decision to run all the way to the end.

Right at the last 1km, my right knee started aching. Wanted to make a dash already but I think my muscles on the right are fatigue already so no choice got to run in a limping manner all the way to the end but it was a race well done.

Thanks to all the good friends like Titus and bullfrog85 who threw away they own personal agenda and stopped by to give me the push. You know sometimes you wouldn't be where you are if your friends hadn't help push you along. Great support, great race!

Oh...right after the finishing line, I met abdaziz and n_evets (not bad...1hr 30 mins) both looking for each other in the human seas...and finally again managed to find each other..so romantic lol! and I saw deathstix and another friend WITH A CUTIE!!! lol (After run can finally connect back with my testosterone!) and also met a few others whom I dun remember the faces but they said hi to YES!!! HI!!!....cause right after the race, everyone just dropped down their personal barrier and really went upt to just give each other a nice great supportive handshake!

AHM 2007 <-----eventful day...next......Standard Chartered Marathon 2007 (running with fellow yogis)
