And your disclaimer: The really super-attractive, interesting characters in this story? They’re not mine.? I beg to differ, the interesting characters in this story are all yours. The original ones and the “derivative” ones, would not be anywhere near as interesting but for the complexity and integrity with which you render them. And y'know? pretty faces are nice, but interesting characters are worth falling for.

In general I don't like kid!fic, but your Caroline, Cassidy and Juan Carlo add depth and perspective to all the adult relationships around them. Leaves me feeling strangely fond of your kid-oriented domestic chapters, though I'd not admit that publicly for fear of being drummed out of the Old Curmudgeon's Club.

What's funny about fanfiction? You can only enhance what's already there. Or try to create what's not. I was lucky to have an Andy, Miranda, Serena, Emily, Nigel, Roy, Caroline and Cassidy to make larger in this story. Or, uh, pretty much make them all up out of whole cloth, if I chose. I like my versions of them better than the book or the movie. But they're mine so of course I like them more. That’s fair enough even if, strictly speaking, unfair. Thank you for liking my versions as well.

I just love love love this story! Thanks for the update! I feel Juan Carlo's pain I would have been right there with him!!! What would we do without Miranda Priestly walking around scaring the shit (language I know) out of us, and turning us into puddles of goo (which can be considered a good and a bad thing) LOL update soon!
