Gabby: Light Shines on Madness

When a new day reaches dawn
I feel it's worth the wait
But I tumble and I fall
When up against my fate

She was dreaming, in the stillness of daylight. She was curled against Tammy in an unfamiliar bed, and they were talking, but it was the conversation they had somewhere else, under a gray sky.

"He's fucking crazy."

When the barricades come down
I build them up again
When I'm just about to drown
I still don't know the end

Suddenly it was like a great light going on in her head, shining on something small and hidden. Truth became clear.

He wanted enemies. He gained them like flies on honey.

Sometimes I tremble
Like a little child
That faces morning
With a broken smile
Sometimes I crumble
When the shades unfurl
Sometimes I feel that
I could rule the world

What he needed was help. Otherwise he would take them all with - as he had already begun to take her
