Induction Day
so instead of marching in to induction today to Green Day "Time of Your Life" we are going to walk into the theater to "We Are the World" by Stevie Wonder and Co. - ridiculous!
why oh why do the CMs insist on making life so difficult?!?!?!
i swear, in the past week i have had to deal with more drama than i could even imagine, and its not just on my team!!!! there was a situation last friday with one of my CMs - accusations of a fistfight occuring so there were meetings with GW and meetings with the CM - everything is straight - for now. then of coarse, i am TL on call on wednesday night and for the 1st time this year the pager actually goes off. another situation that i have to handle with more dire consequences. grrrrr.....
i've been pretty happy with my team otherwise. we've be training for the tax project and completed our entire 1st project prep packet in 2 and a half hours. then went to our briefing with the Bix and did AWESOME!! i was so the proud parent sitting back in the auditorium going - "those are my kids!"
then just to add another spark - last night was the talent show and one of my boys sang an original song. it was GREAT!! funny - cause not 2 days earlier he had been telling me that he could teach me 4 cords - he played beautifully though. then him and another one of my CMs did a sort of STOMP act that was GREAT!!!! so much talent amongst my team members.
one of the funnest things about my job this week is that i got to go into 2 houses this morning and cause a fire drill. hitting the alarm while they were all asleep was too funny!! good old maverick house looked like they wanted to kill me. i was totally amused though...
well - gotta go get in the shower before the roommate gets back from her run and decides that she wants to shower as well. later!!!
