(no subject)
I don't really buy astrology, but I do always notice that when my sign is in house (is that how you say it?)….Ok, the time around my birthday I guess, is always wonderful. This year especially. I finished up work on the BD shoot, and then Patrick took me up to Salt Lake for a romantic birthday weekend, and we did everything fun in slc, and then this last weekend my parents came to visit. It was great.
Patrick surprised me by taking me to stay at the Wildflower Bed and Breakfast, a gorgeous old house in the Sugarhouse neighborhood in Salt Lake. It was super charming. Our room had a beautiful old iron-footed tub, so we took lots of baths, and a little balcony to sit in and admire the mountain view. We went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, went to see the new Cohen Brothers movie, went vintage and record shopping, got Belgian waffles (twice!), and visited the Gilgal Sculpture Garden, the public library, the Clark Planetarium, and the Chocolate Conspiracy, which has the best hot chocolate of all time. Also dinner at Squatters Pub, and exploration of Pierpont Avenue. So much fun! It was so great to just do fun things with my husby all weekend long. He completely spoiled me. Sunday the 2nd we went to explore This is the Place Monument and shopping with our gift card at the Patagonia outlet, and then to Paul and Helen's for dinner and Paul's homemade chocolate cheesecake. Hallelujah it was good. I have wonderful in-laws.
Then after a quiet week my parents came to visit. We took them around Provo, to the BYU museum of Art, then to Park City to meet Tony and Sabrina Pantone for dinner at yet another brew pub (haha), and then on Saturday we went for a hike up Dry Canyon, and then to 5 Star BBQ, where we ran into Sean Bass and his brother-in-law! I was so happy!
Then my folks took us to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit at The Leonardo in slc, and then to Thai dinner with Paul and Helen. It was so great to have my parents in town, I had missed them terribly.
After all that excitement, it's no wonder Patrick got sick, so now I'm trying to fend off his cold. Also doing all the things I put off while I was working on the Black Diamond shoot.
So that's the update. Done.
