Tuesday
So I was going to take the train up to portland. The portland train station is huge, so when i was looking for the eugene station I was looking for the same. After I walked by it and got pointed back towards it, the train station turned out to be a mobile home type thing, so odd. Anyway my train was delayed by nearly 4 hours so I took a bus. Buses aren't that much fun. The whole time I kept singing f*ck the greyhound bus in my head even though i was riding and amtrak bus. When I got to portland Megan picked me up and we went to olive garden. Then I hung out with the parents which was fun.
Eventually I got to the concert via my good friend jennifer. We missed dynamite boy, but got there in time for Matchbook Romance which was excellent. They were so good live! By far my band of the week, especially after seeing them live. Totally blew me away. I got a fall out boy tshirt. So they have these secret shirts that they don't display, they only seel 10 a concert. I asked the guy about it but they only had an adult small so I settled for a different one. He was nice though. Mest was making them sell their shirts of for $20 which is just crazy, but he sold then to me for 2 for $20, so jennifer got one too. When I went back there again with Brandon the merch guy said he found the secret shirt in my size so I traded. Fall out boy was excellent live as well. Sounded great and were super high energy. The bassist jumped off the wall on stage and fell on stage. One of the guitarists actually kicked a hole in the wall during their set. A bunch of girls kept getting on stage and giving the band members kisses on the cheek which I thought was really dumb. During FOB's set two girls got up there and then randomly started making out. Really dumb. Mest was last, and they were basically really lame. Completely over them. All the songs sounded the same to the point that brandon asked me if they already played a song and i thought he was right, it turned out they were different though. After the show Jennifer talked to Jessica and I guess she was going to have a few of the bands over at some house in tigard and invited us. While we were waiting to go to it we got gas and i randomly saw someone from Best Buy. I never remember his name, but it was really weird. In the concert I saw McKenzie in there too and she told me Bryce left best buy which really bummed me out. So we went to this party, which wasn't really a party and it was really lame. Jessica was on her phone the whole time saying that the bands were coming, but since I had a midterm the next day and still had to get back to eugene jennifer and I split. Speaking of which, my midterm was at 11 today. I set my alarm but I guess didn't turn it on or something. Luckily I woke up at 10:38 and brushed my teeth and changed and luckily got there in time. It was gross sitting there without taking a shower, especially since I got back to eugene at 3 and didn't shower, so it was extra gross. Anyways, now I have to read before a meeting I have to go to.
