Dear Diary,

I am soo happy today. I was kinda bummed out since late Monday afternoon when the lady at my dentist told me, the only appointment they had open for me to remove my braces was days AFTER my wedding day!!! I almost cried right there and then. All she could do for me was put me as priority on their cancellation list. When I got back to the office, I started asking around to see if they knew any dentist who would just take off my braces for me and I wouldn't care how much it costs. Masami called his dentist and she said, they wouldn't do it because it would be just unethical. I mean I wouldn't go back to my orthodontist if another dentist took it off for me and so he wouldn't know. I was getting desperate. I would have taken them off myself if worst came to worst. I was serious too. I called yesterday to see if they had any cancellations and to reiterate how imperative it is that I have these braces off soon and still no luck. It was in the back of my mind while I slept and when I woke up. K said if my orthodontist wouldn't be able to take it off, then I would have to accept the fact. He forbade me to see any other dentist to take it off. He said I look perfectly fine with or without my braces and if that's how it was going to be on our wedding day, then so be it. I should just be grateful and there are other things that should take priority. Oh please He didn't want me to lose sleep over it or even stress about it. How can I not? The whole reason why I got braces in the first place was so I could have some decent pictures from my wedding day. I had no idea I was going to get married this year even though I really wanted to get married on 08/08/08. I never saw any wedding pictures where the bride or groom had their braces on. I couldn't stop thinking about it.

But this morning, this morning the lady from my orthodontist called and said they had a cancellation for next week!!!! I was super stoked! This is why K didn't want me to stress over it because he knew they would accommodate me somehow. I'm so excited!

This past weekend was hectic for K. He had to work 4 days in a row at the Apple store because of the 3G launch. There was still a line Friday night and still a line Saturday all day. They didn't close until midnight on Friday because every where else sold out and Ala Moana was the only one kicking. Apple employees where passing out muffins, drinks, popcorn and ice cream to people standing in line. Not to mention AT&T had technical problems so activation was down for almost a hour so the line didn't move at all for that time being because you couldn't buy a phone without activating it first. However, they were taking names down so you can reserve a phone and come back the following morning and with that, they were giving out $25 Apple gift cards for waiting in line while AT&T was down. Even though they were taking names down, people didn't want to leave. The Genius Bar was close for 3G release on Friday so K had to work the floor and didn't activate iPhones because he missed the activation training at midnight on Thursday. But he was still super busy because he found it odd, people were coming in and buying computers, Apple TV, etc. other than iPhones. Later on that night though, they were so busy so they needed all the help they could get with activations and so they decided to have K help out and so he winged it and learned how to activate iPhones on the fly.

I saw a friend of mine, Fish in the store that Friday night. He was a good friend of the ex. You know the one with the small dick. I was doing some shopping around Ala Moana and I stop by at the store to meet up with K for his break. Fish came up to me, gave me a hug and a kiss. We did our salutations, asked me if I got an iPhone. I told him the story about how K surprisingly bought me a white 3G iPhone that morning. I asked him what he was doing there and he told me how he really wanted the 3G iPhone and called around to find out Ala Moana was the only one who still had some in stock but there was no way he was going to stand in that crazy line. Right about that moment, K walked up and overheard. I introduce the both of them and K told Fish to wait until K got back from break. K came back from his and K hooked him up and he also got a $25 gift card because he was "standing" in line when AT&T activations were down. He was very grateful. I didn't tell K how I knew Fish but just said he was a good friend of Lala's.

Saturday, Genius Bar reopened so K worked at the bar and it was just a mad house. There was so much people in the store that it was like a sauna in there. I did more shopping while K worked his shift. He called two hours later and asked me to buy him a desktop fan because the heat was making it hard for him to work and if he didn't cool down soon, he would've gone postal. I bought him one from Brookstone and dropped it off, the place was jammed packed.

Sunday, we finally got the cake done. Cake tasting was fun. She brought out about 8 different flavors to taste from and we could pick 4 different flavors for our cake. K only decided on two which was fine by me. We picked shortcake with fresh strawberries and cream, my favorite and Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache. After the girl left us all alone to draw up our contract, I ate every single cake she brought out. Not a single crumb or as K puts it, "There were no survivors."

CJ and I picked up his school schedule and uniform yesterday and my poor Baby has 8 different classes. We were talking the other night about how scared he is to start middle school. He's afraid he might flunk and the bigger kids are going to pick fights with him. I remember starting middle school, and I was just as scared and nervous as he is now. I told him he'd be fine.

I'm here at the Apple store, waiting for K. Can you believe there is still a line to pick up the iPhones? It's been crazy. It's closing time so they are sending people home. But before they leave, they are taking names to reserve a phone and they have until 5 pm tomorrow to pick up their reserved iPhones. People are not having it and it's getting ugly. A military guy decided it was time to voice his disgust about how he serves this country and stood in line for 4 hours and can't even get a phone tonight. Thank goodness geniuses clocks out at exactly 9 pm, where as specialists, they have to stay and restock to prep for the next day making it a little after 10 pm when they clock out.
