One night, after a rough case and a couple of longboards things happen between them. Danny believes it was a one time thing (just steve releasing some tension), because he knows how things are with catherine and knowing that Steve keeps things strictly friends with benefits only, so why would steve want something more with him? So Danny leaves before Steve wakes and when Steve does wake up he's the least to say, upset. He takes it for what it is and actually begins to "date" hoping to get rid of his feelings for Danny. Insert jealous Danny and some cock-blocking until both these knuckleheads realize that they can have more than just brief 'fling'
or vice versa? switch Danny and Steve's roles? have danny date instead of steve.
