I think this was being filmed about the time his daughter was born. Plus, he's apparently negotiated less time on the show in his contract this season, so he may occasionally be MIA. I was disappointed they did exactly the lame thing I expected them to do--ignore all the complications from what happened in Colombia and just refer to Danny as being in NJ. I get the real life reason, but in terms of the show, it's lazy writing to create a mess and then not explain how you cleaned it up.

Thank you for clearing that up. Its sad though that he wants less time. Does he have something better to do? I doubt it, he's the reason I watch it!!!!

He's just had another book of his photography published, and he's also a playwright. I'm not as much of an expert on him as I'd like to be (need to do more research...such a trial!), but I suspect all that with the arrival of his daughter gives him plenty to keep him busy. :-) I'm here for Steve/Danny, so when Danny's missing, I'm pretty bored. :-) I suspect Steve is, too. LOL
