Oh gosh. AKITO. D: I've always wondered about how little he kept appearing, and now that nakayama is all I WILL BE TUNER I'm starting to wonder if he won't be obsolete- if he doesn't feel obsolete- and perhaps that's why he rarely ever does nothing outrageous when he /is/ out. (I admit that I'm a little eh about Nakayama in part because of this threat of Akito becoming obsolete, after all.) It's kinda sad in a way that Agito protects Akito protects Agito. It's really a crisis of two personalities who no longer both need to exist, I suppose. Anyway, before I got off track, I was about to say that this fic, more than being a romance, felt like a character exploration of Akito (although his love for Ikki really can't be separated from it, I think)and it's just really nice and it feels like it's scratched an itch I've been ignoring while reading the action-packed manga.

Much ♥

I actually wrote up a mini-rant on re: Agito-Nakayama-Akito. I've just made it public here, since it covers most of the responses I have in regards to the last comments you've given me.

And this fic was original intended to be a character exploration of Akito, since he's my absolute favourite character and there's a distinct lack of anything pertaining to him in both fandom and canon. I love the dynamic he has with the people he interacts with, as well as the world around him. The way he views and interacts with the world is so interesting, because he's been so deprived his whole life. It's like he can't stop being in awe of everything around him, yet he's also down-to-earth in the sense that he knows he has to enjoy the time he's been given because it could all end in a moment -- that he could fall back into the well again, so-to-speak.
