Lots of fannish and hobby-related things.
I seem to be mostly over my cold finally, but I had to skip out on belly dance last night, so as not to drive myself right back into it again. (Made that mistake. More than once. Note to self: Fun times do not continue if you don't listen to your body.)
I've been considering a post on how this whole Slow Food movement seems to be (at least partly) classist and privileged, and co-opts a LOT of the things that I learned growing up, but without crediting the source. I'm a little concerned that I'm patting myself on the back too much. Anyone want to take a look at it for me?
Tara's Dance, from the Xena soundtrack, would be really great to dance to, if only it were an instrumental. The problem is that now I need to hunt around for more songs off the Xena soundtrack, and then shove them at haflagirl if any of them work. But if they don't, she's going to give me weird looks again.

So. Rumor has it that SCC is either cancelled or not. The thing is, that it's not. But! It's close. This post by dtissagirl has tons of information, including an address for snail mail to the president of Fox Broadcasting. If you're at all interested in this show, you should check it out.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is still on marathon in the Havoc household. I'm disturbed to realize just how much I've been watching without realizing it. Damn it. (Another reason you should go put your opinion in at the femslash09 post is so that Avatar: The Last Airbender ends up being a choice for the ficathon. I would like some good Avatar femslash out there.)
There's been some femslash meta brewing in my head. A couple of pieces. But they require more mulling over. One of these days, they'll be ready to get out onto paper.
