I am not sure how to feel about this. While I didn't like the demands on my time, I did actually enjoy the process of learning. Even though I complained about it a lot. I'm a complain-y kind of person when I get stressed. I'm looking for something to learn next, maybe drawing classes or online writing courses.
In an odd aside, apparently I am weird for having read the majority of Shakespeare's works. Mr. Havoc and I were discussing this the night we watched the Whedon "Much Ado About Nothing," and he is not exactly an unread man, and yet he has not read the gobs of Shakespeare that I have. That said, I am considering rereading The Tempest and As You Like It.
We went out for celebratory gelato from the gourmet chocolate shop (and by "gourmet" I mean "world class pastry chef who travels around the world and this seems to be his place for fun times and experimentation"). I had pistachio and salted chocolate truffle in a waffle cone (I normally get one scoop in a cup, and pistachio is my favorite gelato, with hazelnut a close second) and bought myself a new lip gloss. (Bright pink, and I love it more than I expected.) We went out for barbecue for dinner with J. and K., because we were celebrating Father's Day - J.'s first Father's Day, even! The baby did not want him to leave.
Then we went LARPing, and, some time the next day, I decided that it was really freeing not to play the game the STs want you to play, and to make your own fun. So some of us are starting to get some cross-sect roleplay going on. I've been brainstorming ideas on things we can do without needing ST plot. We'll see how that goes, at least.
I miss new WoD and the way the clans don't organize by sect. Then again, so do a bunch of people. I expect that's one of the reasons my current game has a fuckton of anarchs.
Anyway. Busy day. Busy weekend! Catching up on a weekend's worth of emails. How is everyone else?
