I am pretending I got a stealth crossover for Yuletide.
So, I got this really awesome Skye and May fic for Yuletide, where Melinda goes to see her goddaughter and Skye thinks she's up to something and follows her, and discovers that Melinda is actually a pretty normal person in some respects.
I should explain the whole stealth crossover thing. Now, in this story, Melinda's goddaughter plays girls soccer for the Daisies. I'm pretending (because it's been a while and I don't have access to my DVD to check), that the team that Jensen's niece plays against at the end of The Losers is the Daisies. Because then I can imagine that Melinda and Skye are around on a field at the same time as the characters from The Losers are, and, honestly, that's kind of awesome.
The story I got is great, though! It's sweet and adorable, and totally gen, but in the sort of way where Melinda could be a mentor to Skye, and in a fashion that I would adore seeing on the show.
Best line, though, is:
Agent Melinda May, aka The Cavalry, aka The Person Even Ward Is in Awe Of, smiles at her. And lets Skye come and have ice cream. With her family.
Skye somehow manages not to cry. Mostly by eating three scoops of chocolate fudge, with extra caramel sauce.
