At Fan Expo, Juliet Landau and James Marsters talk about their time on BtVS. I shipped those two so hard through the entire run of both series. I actually shipped all of the Fanged Four in various permutations, because have you even seen that show? (Obviously, you may disagree with me all you like. But that's my interpretation.)
Still, it was primarily Dru/Spike for me, even with all those other possibilities. (Okay, fine, I had a heavy sideline in Dru/Darla. You've met me, right?) Which is one of so many reasons that I never got into Buffy/Spike, despite that being canon too.
I'm at the point where I never want to touch the Buffy or Angel comics, because Drusilla is the only one of my favorite characters who's still alive. Whedon is a bloodbath when it comes to my favorites: Jenny, Tara, Lilah, Darla, and Fred especially. And yes, Fred is dead. Illyria, while an amazing character, is not the same as Fred. I've got a strange superstition that, should I not read the comics, Drusilla won't ever die.
If they ever kill off Dru in the comics, I'm going to be so mad. Though apparently Juliet is set to work on a five issue Dru arc, which will happen some time when she's not busy with work. Which she's apparently doing a lot of, but mostly it's theater and indies. Which I would love to see, might I add.
Naturally, I can't find any of my Dru/Spike icons. Ah, well. I have a lovely Dru/Angel icon to use in its place.
