I wish that I had time to write this, I really do. I just don't have the time to give it the multi-decade treatment it deserves
The story would begin when Morgana attends the convent school of St. Trinian's, sent there by Uther to learn to become a lady. That would be where Morgana learns necromancy (straight out of one of many of the Arthurian legend) and becomes a great healer. There are no cliques at this time, but she ends up becoming one of the major influences that create the Posh Totties and the Emos, centuries down the line.
Gwen is sent to St. Trinian's as well, to care for Morgana. Along the way, she receives as much of an education as Morgana, though she eschews all study of magic. Gwen and Morgana end up teaching at least half the school how to use a sword. Gwen kicks the blacksmith out and makes weapons ten times better.
This was when the school library was an active sort of place, if you were the type to hide forbidden texts between the hymnals. The prioress of the convent school keeps it locked, because if you haven't learned how to sneak about properly, you don't deserve the knowledge.
Gwen and Morgana also organize the defenses and drive off a band of Saxon raiders who think a convent school is easy prey.
After Gwen is disgraced by political machinations, she takes refuge at St. Trinian's. The entire Round Table ends up learning how they can't touch her there. After Camelot falls and Morgana takes Arthur to Avalon for his enchanted sleep, she goes to St. Trinian's and teaches necromancy for a few years. By then, Gwen is headmistress.
They feel a little bad about Merlin getting stuck in that tree a few years back, but they really can't help what the first years do when you're trying to get through the forests on their grounds. Especially not that one in the red dress. She's wild.
