Why do I not have a "schadenfreude" tag? Well, that's easily fixed. Besides, it's not as if I don't already have this one instead.
Here's the thing: If you watch SGU and you love it, I'm happy for you! (Of course there's always a "however.")
However, I think that the PTB getting mad at people who chose not to watch SGU because they got burned on SGA and/or SG1 need to get over it. If you do something in your show that drives away a viewer, fine. We'll gripe about it for a while, and we'll go find other shows that give us more of what we want.
That's how the media works. It's not my fault that they put out a show I - and many, many others - didn't want to watch. That's their fault.
