*snickering* Maybe you don't want to blow them up, though?

Are you on dial-up? Because there are alternatives to watching it on cable. (I am, OF COURSE, talking about iTunes and everything that's PERFECTLY LEGAL.)

And I feel your pain. Every character I've loved has encountered some kind of horrible experience. Usually, she's died. (I'm just waiting for them to kill off Casey on SVU. Seriously.)

Yep. *cough* iTunes. Indeed.

I don't usually ship on SVU, but I'll read just about any pairing. And I love both Alex and Casey. And Olivia.

Fandom is frustrating! it was easier, i think, before grad school when i maintained the conceptualization that being a fan was a passive experience, i.e. watch the show, like the show/don't like the show.

You know, I've never had that conceptualization of fandom. Maybe it's because I'm a second generation Trekkie? Mom wasn't big on cons (she's such an introvert), but I knew about fandom, even if I wasn't participatory in fandom-at-large until college. (I was what one would call a "feral fan." I wrote truly, horrifically awful fanfic, and fangirled with people outside of fandom occasionally, but I wasn't participatory. Not 'til college.)

Fandom's awesome, though, even though it's got it's unbelievably wanky moments. Because who else is going to love your show as much as you do but another fan?
