I am irritated with facebook. It should be renamed to stalkerbook. I used to have a simple page that I could check and see if friends had left me notes, and I could leave some for them. yeah, I've been having some frustrations with facebook too. You can delete notifications on your profile though so they don't show up on other people's pages, and you can click to remain offline, so others won't know or see when you're online....at least I think it works. it's still all an added step though. I wonder a lot about how places like facebook will influence society, dramatic a statement as that sounds.

I think about that too...all of this constant communication. Society frowns upon hermitous behavior. (I invented the word hermitous today...it describes how I feel sometimes) I reluctantly got a cell phone, way after everyone else had one, only so that I can call for help if I am ever stranded. Now it seems if you don't answer your cell, people get angry with you. This anger has spread to online if you don't check your email for a week or update your profile frequently enough to fulfill other people's needs for constant info. Anyway...I rant again.

Thanks for the tip about remaining offline...I will check it out!
