He brought out a box... It was meant to be the chucks I was getting as a reward for formatting the cook book for him. And yes, the chucks were in there, as you can see. But as I was pulling the paper out of them, I saw the ring box. I asked if the ring box was meant to be in there.
Of course it was! I was expecting the proposal... I wasn't expecting that!
The ring was custom made from legacy gold (from a ring his grandfather left to him) and diamonds from a ring that belonged to his great-grandmother. I'm not a very girly (or traditional) type of person, so I didn't want a solitaire or something with a lot of sparkle... this is perfect! It's everything I wanted.
Ahhhh! I'm so excited!
