Thanks for pimping, it prompted me to buy a copy. I don't much enjoy cooking (or eating, for that matter), but I kind of like Southern cooking more than most other styles, so maybe I'll find some recipes I like. :)

Yaaaay! Thank you. :D You maybe have made David's night, the look on his face when I read him your comment was brilliant. I hope you find something tasty too! :D

Please let David know I've found over a dozen recipes I want to try. It will probably take me a while to get to them all, but at least the recipes sound fairly simple. The cookbooks that take a couple of pages for one recipe are too intimidating. ETA: I'll probably buy the book version as well, it might be easier to actually use that way.

I think the most amusing cookbook I've ever found, though the recipes were not that helpful to me, was called "Help! My Apartment Has A Kitchen In It!"

LOL, that's an awesome book title.

Can you do me a favor? Could you please be a lovely doll and post that as a review to the Amazon page? I think David might explode with glee when he saw it... ♥ That's really what he was setting out to do -- good, tasty food with a bit of a kick, without being intimidating.

Okay, my review is up! It's a bit lengthier than you expected. It's the first review, so it should be easy to find, but you'll definitely know it's me.

Glad to help! Still, I wouldn't write it if I didn't mean it.

It occurs to me it might have had more weight if I'd actually tried some of the recipes before writing, but I can always add to it later after I've tried some of them.
