In which I whine about plane tickets
Lest I seem ungrateful, I first want to thank whichever brilliant amazing person donated some money towards David's hotel costs. I now only need to come up with $100! Thank you thank you thank you!
Feel free to roll on by the rest... I need to freak out/vent a little otherwise the issue is going to consume me ALL DAY. And that would be bad.
So I go to check the prices on tickets to Portland again, cos I'm a masochist. They'd been down around $300, and I was really hoping they'd stay that way til the first, when I'll have all the money I need to pay for David's ticket. Haha, yeah, you see where this is going. They're up to $390 now.
God. Fucking. Dammit.
Come February first I'll have a total of $325 (and that's only cos greyrider is awesome). If prices stay where they are, I can use some of the monthly money my parents send me and probably pay for the ticket. If they keep going up, though...
It's really, really unfair of the universe to do this right when I thought I had everything bloody well handled. Also? Chances are really good that flights will have to route through Denver. At least, unless I pay an extra $10. Well, right now it's $10.
amara_m says the Bing price predictor shows prices have a 60% chance of staying the same or going down, but I don't know if that was her searching her airports or not cos when I do it? The predictor doesn't load. Of course it doesn't.
So yeah. Pardon me while I have a minor panic thingy, cos I mentioned he prices being down to my mom, and she's gonna give me so much shit for the prices going back up again. Trying to remember that I'll figure something out for David's ticket. It will work out.
ETA: Amara looked it up by DFW-PDX and it's got a 75% chance of dropping by $50. :breathes a little: Just gotta find out how their predictor is timing that cos yeah... Maybe their alert system will be helpful...
