Leverage/RPS, Goth!Chris/Were!Nate (Goth!Steve if it fits), "I'm not going anywhere. I'm not embarrassed, and if I don't come back it's because I'm dead."

Nate's jaw clenches tight enough he can feel the muscles twitching. He hates fighting with them. Mostly for the way they don't fight. Oh, sure, they'll get into shouting matches. But it's all bullshit and small aggravations, it's never arguing about anything important. That's done with silent looks and words that don't have anything to do with what's going on inside their heads, like they have a language all their own.

And they probably do. Chris and Steve had been together a long time before Nate came along. There's probably a system that he's only barely starting to notice, let alone catch on to.

Which will be useful later. It's no help now, when Christian's got something up his ass about Nate leaving again. There's only so many assurances he can give, only so many promises he can make. Chris doesn't seem to be listening, the only sign that he's even paying attention are the punctuated thumps of different drawers and the thud of half thrown items as he huffs around getting ready for work. Steve is no help whatsoever, as he gets ( ... )

Already working on it darlin'. :g: I've had a two prompt chain planned for a while for these. Now if I could just get the voicing right...

While Joven scrambles to find the next part, I actually liked this. It's about something important rather than angst for angst's sake. :D
