(I'm fuzzy on the names, don't go by me I might be getting them wrong....)
I like picking up this episode with a flashback. It's kind of sad, that she was the only survivor of her little cluster when Alpha went awol. "They won't wake up." My heart twinges.
I wonder if that's why the doc's face is scarred...
The meeting makes he hate the liason or whatever the hell she is. There's no concern for the Actives as anything more than property.
"Deep, deep man love" Ok, geeky guy is kind of an ass, but I like'm.
Holy freaking hell! It's Mark Sheppard!! Which totally distracted me from the whole scene, but exposition land wasn't holding my attention either. It was a recap we didn't really need, unless these are characters that will show up again.
The transition from the arrow shot to the sex scene was smooth, really. I'm wondering why they want us so attached to her client though, or if they're just showing off that she's basically a prostitu..... OH.
OH shit...
And more flashbacks...
Langdon... Why does that name sound familiar. Have the feeling that's a geeky moment...
Oh, oh Sanders. (Saunders?) Her poor face...
"Pullin a smoke and mirrors" Like the phrase. Not least because it makes me think of a collection by Gaiman.
Ok, if the guy is hunting you with a bow, why are you going for the cliff face. Oh, unless it's a mesa, I guess...
Ballard is his name. Really must remember that... And Alpha knows Echo's real name. Interesting. Suppose he's had time to hack things...
That seems sort of like the wrong arrow for him to be watching her from. And where's Langdon?
... Oh for pete's sake. He's not even in the damn truck for when the stuff kicks in. How does geekboy not know she's running for her life? Or that she's been hurt? (And also, if the director bitch signed this together ... bitchy bitch bitch grrrr.)
Another flashback... They're really intent on showing the blank Actives as complete innocents. Interesting contrast with what the Dollhouse actually does to them. (But if David doesn't shut up about female exploitation while I'm watching the damn show I swear to fuck I'm going to throw something.)
Considering Langdon's hat-rabbit comment, I'm surprised he seems so protective of Echo. Like, not just a job protective. And damn he just killed a guy. Obviously not Alpha...
["the kind you need to shoot at" and david says "women's rights protestors?" seriously. harsh my squee some more.]
Something tells me that finding this cabin ain't such a good thing... maybe I'm wrong. Maybe she'll remember something and it'll help her save herself... Hmmm... Good girl, with the water.
Oh, hi real ranger person. Iiiinteresting. Radio is probably a bad thing... Yup. So he set it up to kill the Active (Echo in particular, given his comment?).
Handler-Active imprint... why do I have the feeling a whole branch of fanfiction was born? Lol... But, on the other hand, it makes his protective nature make more sense. Maybe he's programmed just a little? Very interesting dynamic...
So who is hunter boy?
Iiiinteresting. She saw herself.... the river would be a bad thing, though... I'm liking the bouncing back and forth... Is she relating him to Alpha, or is he Alpha?
Awww Bolland's got his own shy sorta Kaylee for a neighbor.
Oh, oh, see... If Langdon dies... that'd be weak, Whedon. Very very weak.
Ah, she's resisting the programming... And reversing it? Interesting... Aaaaand really badass.
I like the reversal here, prey to hunter. Even if the vision did kind of mess it up. I'm guessing she's just relating him to Alpha at this point. Her brain is meshing everything together... Which is sort of what it sounds like Alpha did, if I understood that flashback earlier. Do they all have that potential or is there something different about the two of them that allowed this to occur?
Cool affect with the bullet and arrow. And damn, she's hot when she's angry... Lots of seeing herself is kind of creepy. And ooooooooh. Alpha did set it up (well, I'm assuming that's the implication we're meant to come away with anyway).
Awww, Langdon and Echo... It's really kind of sweet, watching her huddle against him.
Oh, director bitch. Is your house of cards all shaky?
I like seeing Langdon and Saunders talking... I wonder why he trusts her to talk to about talking against the company? They don't seem the sort of place to take that sort of thing too lightly...
Director bitch's man-bitch is a total asswhipe.
But that last shot? With the shoulder to the wheel motion? Gave me freakin shivers...
