I've been totally absent. hi. Life is fine, my Christmas was good and the new year's been treating me well. I love my job, even if I feel kind of broke as fuck right now. I don't really have thoughts on the new doctor, and I'm not freaking out over LJ firing a bunch of people.
Oh, one opinion to share though: I saw this on the news tonight and all I can say is WHAT THE FUCK. Seriously? $12 million on an army center in a MALL? So that's just ONE LOCATION. That we're going to spend TWELVE MILLION DOLLARS ON. It's full of computers, and when they showed it on the news there were ROWS of empty chairs, at least 20 computers just sitting there. Granted the Army is not exactly known for being full of smarts but REALLY? REALLY? that's totally what we need to be doing with all that money we don't have. absolutely. fucking morons.
I think the only other thing that I have to post about is to say that my Yuletide fic was FUCKING AWESOME. I got Merchant of Venice fic! eeee!!!! I am stupidly in love with it. It's here and yes, it's slash, but if you've read/seen the play you probably know that it's basically canon anyway. But apart from the slash it is also FUNNY and AMAZING and made me stupidly happy as one might guess from my two lengthy, squee-filled comments on it.
nothing else to say for the moment, I think. possible memes to come later. Sorry for failing at posting/human interaction so terribly.
also, this is always true but: clean slate! if you want to defriend me for any reason, do so with my promise that I will remain drama-free. even if we've been LJ friends for years, even if we are friends in real life, if my journal is not something you want to read or have on your flist, go ahead and take me off and I pinky swear that I won't freak out at you.
