Feeling like Spring

The pansies I planted, as referred to in my last entry, have shown signs of life!  Viola types are doing best but even the old hybrid seed is sprouting to some extent.  Yesterday I put all of my pepper seeds in: a new bell hybrid, a couple of old ones, paprika, a couple spicy pepper types.  This week, who knows, maybe broccoli and lettuce which, in theory, could be planted outside in 4 to 6 weeks.  Soon, tomatoes will go into pots to sprout!
Better weather tends to bring out the gardener in me.  This evening I was clearing debris from the daylily terraces out front - I so love to have some daylight when I get home from the salt mines.  I was thinking of making it three days in a row of walking with Scoots but I'll have to think either garden or walk after dinner, at least until we get another month towards Midsummer.
In preparation for the coming Equinox I have been cleaning altars: the ancestors, which gets me thinking about Maggie and my Dad, and the children's which has Pat, Greg and Scoots on it with the Living Goddess.  Perhaps there will be decent weather Saturday for a fire with the winter detritis.....I can only hope.
