Last night at 3:30 AM the fire alarms in our house went off for about 5 minutes. This was not a problem, as I was still awake, imagining becoming a member of the
Long Riders Guild. Here's what I'll do: this summer I'll be working at
Flathead Lake Lodge and on my days off I will make overnight trips with the horses if possible. Then, I'll go to school the next year, take classes in grasses and minor first aid. Buy two horses around March. Then ride back home to Fairbanks once school is out. That will only be the first.
So yeah, I had to disassemble 5 fire alarms and stuff them under a couch curtain, but it was just the distraction I needed to actually fall asleep.
