What Kara found when she went searching for Sam on wikipedia

I thought about setting up a "real" wikipedia page, but that's a lot of work and apparently it'll probably get deleted or whatever, so here's the text.

'''Samuel Tithonus Anders''' (born Sextilis 13, 1976), nicknamed '''"T,"''' is a Picon professional pyramid player for the Caprica City Buccaneers in the Intercolonial Pyramid League (IPL). A 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m) forward guard, he has been the IPL Finals MVP, a three-time IPL MVP, and the IPL Rookie of the Year. The Buccaneers' captain, he is an eight-time IPL All-Star and has earned eight All-IPL honors and four All-Defensive honors. He has played on the All-Star Pyramid Team representing Caprica at the Olympics twice, once as captain, when Caprica took Bronze.
Anders played college pyramid at the University of Picon at Perkinston. After graduating, he was selected with the second overall pick of the 1998 IPL Draft by the Leonis Wildcats. In 2003, he left the Wildcats for the Buccaneers in a highly publicized free agency period. Despite never winning the IPL cup, his career achievements and leadership role during the Buccaneers' 2006 championship run have led a majority of pyramid analysts, experts, and writers to consider him the best player in the IPL of the day.
Off the court, Anders has accumulated considerable wealth and fame as a result of numerous endorsement contracts. His public life has been the subject of much scrutiny, and he has been ranked as one of Caprica's most liked and influential athletes. He has also been featured in books, documentaries, and television commercials, and has hosted the ESPY Awards and Saturday Night Live.

==Early Life==
===Childhood and Youth===
Anders was born on Picon in Noyse, Yun Yu. He has said that his father was a lobsterman and his mother ran a dockside bar. Besides this, very little is known about his early life, and no public records exist.

===Hurricane Enipeus and Perkinston===
In 1992, Hurricane Enipeus, a Category Five hurricane, ravaged the west coast of Yun Yu, destroying cities and towns. Among these was Noyse, which was directly in Enipeus' path. Anders, then sixteen, was found unconscious in a floating bathtub twenty miles south of Noyse by the Red Cross. He is the only known survivor of the town.
Like many Enipean refugees, he was relocated to Perkinston, Van Maanen, where he was presumably placed within the social justice system. Records show that he was officially enrolled at Metis High School in the Perkinston Independent School District, but this became the source of controversy in 1996 when the University Pyramid League (UPL) discovered that the school did not issue him a diploma. Anders was allowed to continue playing when he provided proof of having independently received a Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED) in 1994.
He has said very little on this period of his life, and it is widely rumored that all of his interview agreement contracts stipulate that questions about it or Enipeus are grounds for ending the interview.

==Pyramid Career==
===U.Picon===
In 1994, Anders enrolled in the University of Picon on a Enipeus Relief Fund scholarship. His roommate, Grant Robbins, was a third-string freshman recruit for the U.Picon Kraken pyramid team, and Anders has often cited Robbins as the one who developed his interest pyramid. The two often played together in their spare time, and in 1995, their sophomore year, Robbins helped Anders get a spot in the Kraken Pyramid open tryouts, of which Anders was the only player recruited that way that season.
The 1995 season was good for the Kraken, which ended 7-2. Despite starting the season as a third-string forward guard, Anders began to generate media buzz for his skill at the position, and by the end of the season was regularly starting for the team.
In 1996, his junior year, Anders was the Kraken's starting forward guard, finishing the season 8-1, qualifying U.Picon for the first round of the UPL Interworlds championships. Though they did not advance, Anders' performance in the game against Caprica City College was impressive enough for many media commentators to list him as a possible dark horse Heisman nomination.
In 1997, his senior year, Anders was named U.Picon team captain. The Kraken finished their regular season undefeated, and once again the Kraken made it to the UPL Interworlds, where during the finals they were defeated by the University of Southern Scorpia in double overtime for a final score of 132-131. Anders won the Heisman and was the second overall draft pick in the IPL several months later (after Jean Barolay, team captain and point guard for the University of Southern Scorpia).
He graduated U.Picon in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality and a minor in Tauron Language Studies.

===Leonis Wildcats===
Stuff happened.
In 2003, Anders left the Wildcats.

===Caprica City Buccaneers==
In 2003, Anders joined the Buccaneers as the team captain, despite rumors of a professional rivalry between him and Buccaneer point guard Jean Barolay dating back to their university days.
Other stuff, blah blah.

===Olympics===
In 2004, Anders was named the captain of Caprica's All-Star Pyramid Team, representing the world on Gemenon. The team took home the bronze medal.
For the 2008 team, Anders was offered a position as the All-Star's forward guard--but not captain. That position was offered first to Delphi Legion center Susan Davidson. Jean Barolay, Sue-Shaun Winters, and Morris Fink, Buccaneers who had also been offered positions on the team, threatened to protest this decision and refuse to join until Anders be made captain. This movement was not supported by Anders, who signed with Caprica immediately despite the lower status, and eventually the other Buccaneers relented and joined him. The Davidson-led team was eliminated in the first round.
Despite the 2012 Olympics being less than a year away and several other positions having been announced, Caprica has not yet publicized the official choice for forward guard. An unconfirmed leaked memo lists Anders and Qualai Braves player Lynn Caesar as the top two choices for the spot. A scan of the memo has "(too old?)" handwritten beside Anders' name, although the origin of this note may not be official.

==Off The Court==
===Personal Life===
Anders' is an extremely popular public figure on Caprica, and much media is given to his love life. He has formerly been rumored to be attached to celebrities such as Deborah Stirling, Lepida Morrison, and Julia Livilla. He was most recently dating model/actress Mandi Apples, although the couple had a highly-publicized breakup on Aprilis 6, 2011, said to be instigated by Anders. He has no current confirmed girlfriend. He has no children.

===Endorsements===
A lot of companies. IDK.

===Public Image===
In 2008, Anders was named by Forbes as the second most influential athlete in the Twelve Worlds, behind Elk Waldman.
Anders has participated in Buccaneers charitable events for the Humane Society of Caprica, the Red Cross, and Habitat for Humanity. He has appeared in eleven Red Cross commercials, and is highly publicized as an "Every 56 Days" blood donor. Anders has played guitar in charitable concerts with celebrity bands including Band From TV, The Ballers, and Songs for a Cause, though he is not a permanent member of any of them. He donates a large sum of money to the University of Picon annually for a scholarship for students from the foster care system, and the Red Cross' scholarship fund for survivors of natural disasters was renamed for him at an official ceremony in 2003.
He is rumored to once or twice a year show up at random coffee houses in Caprica City to play guitar at open mic nights. Several of these recordings have made it onto YouTube. He as also appeared as a special guest on stage at several professional musicans' Caprica City concerts, including The Script ("Hall of Fame") and Ingrid Michaelson (guitar for "The Way I Am").
A popular urban legend alleges that Anders is a member of The Bluebeards, a Picon Mob. Anders has dismissed these rumors as ridiculous. Most media outlets consider this rumor untrue, though tabloid newspaper Weekly Worlds' News often runs stories on the subject.

===Thoughts on Pyramid==
In 2010, Anders gave a highly-publicized interview in which he was asked if his career would feel incomplete if the C-Bucs never won an interplanetary championship. Anders responded:
"Look, you wanna know the truth? I don’t really care about the stats, or the cup, or the trophy, or anything like that. In fact even the games aren’t that important to me, not really. What matters to me is the perfect throw. Making the perfect catch. The perfect step and block. It’s perfection. That’s what it’s about. It’s about those moments when you… when you can feel the perfection of creation. The beauty of physics, the wonder of mathematics. You know the...the elation of action and reaction. And that is the kind of perfection that I want to be connected to."
