Fic Commentary Meme
Pick a paragraph (or any passage between... let's say 200 and 600 words) from anything I've written, and comment to this post with that selection. I will then give you a DVD commentary on that snippet: what I was thinking when I wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what's going on in the character's heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the fic, lots of awful puns, and anything else that you'd expect to find on a DVD commentary track.
I saw this meme a couple months ago and always wanted to play around with it. My process is strange even to me at times, but every piece of mine usually has some kind of story--the music I listened to as I wrote it, how I was stalled on a certain scene until inspiration hit during a late-night shower, how the idea even came to me in the first place. So if you're curious about the thought process behind any of my fics (my masterlist is on the front page of this journal), feel free to ask!
