[Well, someone's just found out that Crawford has gone home. Given that he's been a little unstable ever since he was hit by the time bazooka, he's taking this even more wonderfully than he would normally.]

[Unfiltered, because Schuldig is all out of fucks to give]

He's gone. [This cryptic announcement is followed by the least sane laughter you' ( Read more... )

Hey, you were crazy over the phone first.

[There's a brief pause, and then a laugh. Still so far off the deep end that you can't even see light, but there's genuine amusement in it.] Not bad.

What can I say? New York taught me to deal with loonies.

And an American, too. That explains a lot.

But I doubt New York had anything of my caliber.

[ I actually laughed. In the last year, my city had seen Titans, drakons, and giant flying killer pigs -- on top of the normal host of monsters and the Olympians hanging out at the top of the Empire State Building. [ My heart jumped in my chest. For a second, I was twelve years old, sleeping in the woods off a New Jersey highway with a voice from Tartarus ringing in my ears.

But Kronos didn't have two magical neurons to rub together anymore, and now I was dealing with a guy who was a) possibly a batty clone of Professor X but b) had nothing better to do than play telephone like a thirteen year old girl. I closed my eyes and thought of the bottom of the ocean. ]

[Fortunately, that seems to have simply been Schuldig getting the last word in; there's no further mental contact.]
