Hey everyone! The Webbers are back in one of my favourite chapters yet xD I’m home from school today cause I got the flu :( But hey it means more simming so I shouldn’t complain! :P
In chapter 3 we left off where Damien proposed to Jamie and she said yes :)
We were so excited about our wedding, we certainly wanted to have a party and not just a private one! Jamie started making plans the next day! Having a newborn and arranging a wedding was certainly making Jamie tired to say the least!
Once again I was worried that Grace wouldn’t be too happy with the news, but she surprised me again!
“Thats great Jamie!!! Please tell me I can be the flower girl????” She asked enthusiastically
“Of course sweetheart! Thats what I was going to ask you anyway!” Jamie beamed
We were both happy that Grace was excited, she would make an amazing flower girl! But we also wanted Emma to take part so we decided to wait till she was a toddler. Which wasn’t too far away after all the months of planning we needed, and taking care of her.
I loved having a baby in the house again, and like any other parent I had mixed feelings about her growing up. Secretly I was hoping there would be another baby in the house soon!
Finally it was time for Emma to grow up. I was really concerned about Jamie, she was quite emotional that her baby was growing up already.
But she was a good sport anyway and helped little Emma to blow out the candles!
She turned into a gorgeous toddler! We were however worried where her eye colour came from
*** Authors note: I’m cursed with those darn gold eyes!!!***
Now that she had grown up a bit, Grace was more involved with spending time with Emma. Everyday after school you could find her playing peek-a-boo with her. Having another child was definitely a good thing for Grace…well for now anyway.
The big day came eventually! We held it in our back yard to save a few extra dollars, but the set outside was perfect!
We invited a few colleagues of Jamie’s and our close friends.
After everyone had arrived I went to wait under the arch for Jamie.
I don’t know how I didn’t faint when I saw her. She had to be the most beautiful thing I had ever laid my eyes on. I was so lucky she was mine.
After taking a couple of deep breathes Jamie was getting closer and it would soon be time to exchange our vow’s. We both agreed that Grace would be our witness, even if she was just a child.
“Jamie Jolina. I don’t know what I did to deserve to have you in my life but whatever it was I’m grateful that I did it. And to honour that, I will always be there for you, through thick and thin, good and bad health, to love you, cherish you, and spend everyday as if it was my last with you, and to make you feel like the most special woman on this earth. I Damien Webber, take you to be my wife.”
“Damien Webber, the first time I laid eyes on you, I knew you were special, we had that instant connection I’ve never been able to have with anyone else. I promise to be by your side through the good times and the bad, through loss and gain, and to raise our wonderful daughters together. I love you and care for you and promise to be there for you till the day we die.”
After we exchanged rings it was time for Grace to make it official..
“I now pronounce you husband and wife!” She shouted excitedly and with that everyone started cheering while we shared our first kiss as husband and wife!
After having our reception dinner it was time for us to take our first dance. I was more than nervous to say the least! I was a terrible dancer, and having all eyes on me and Jamie didn’t exactly help calm my nerves!
After a long night of partying, we celebrated…like how any other newlyweds would ;)
We decided we wouldn’t go on honeymoon, not just yet, Emma was still too small and Grace would find it embarrassing so we decided to wait till we were older, and had the money to go where we wanted.
We received quite a few gifts from our guests at the wedding, but a few also gave us money. Which came in handy cause if we wanted to have more kids we were going to need a bigger house!
One month after our wedding it was Grace’s big day! Her first day of school! It was very emotional for me but I made sure I didn’t cry until she was on the bus and on her way. I never thought my girl would grow up so quickly!
But Grace wasn’t the only one growing up! Emma took her first few steps in that week as well!
And turns out she could be quite the chatterbox too, just like her mum!
Jamie loved having kids around, and to see them growing up so quickly was upsetting, but we were still on the agreement that we weren’t going to try, we would just let it happen.
Which turns out we were quite the fertile folks, cause soon enough we were expecting again. It was the perfect time. Emma was 3 and a half and Grace was nearly 10!
Grace was becoming more and more like Zoey everyday! Immediately after doing her homework she would head straight to her easel, and had clearly inherited her mother’s artistic streak!
Not long after starting school, the teachers approached me about Grace’s behaviour, she was bored and restless in class, and was starting to distract the other kids. And to solve that problem we all agreed that she should be in the advanced class, and even after that she was still doing well academically and got onto the honour roll!
Knowing that another mouth to feed was on the way and a bigger house was needed, I went ahead to get a job at the music and arts centre in hopes of being able to provide for my family and pursue my dreams of becoming a rock star!
I felt so accomplished when I was given the job, even though it was just to pretend I was a fan, they did also mention that there were many promotions that could be achieved!
Being pregnant again wasn’t as easy as it was the first time and Jamie needed a lot more rest, so we also needed to hire a baby sitter in order to make sure Emma was cared for, Grace didn’t think she needed to be looked after, she was 11 and soon to be 12.
Grace knew that Jamie wasn’t her mum, but she occasionally started calling her mum, and would often ask her for advice now that she was close to becoming a teenager. She also loved the fact that Jamie was pregnant and that there would be someone she could boss around one day. Of course we didn’t tell her off saying she couldn’t do that but if things started turning that way we wouldn’t let it continue either.
It was 2 weeks before her due date, but it seems the baby wasn’t patient and wanted to enter the world immediately, which caused Jamie to go into labour.
Because we were concerned that she wasn’t due for a while, we went to the hospital.
It got to the point where the doctors nearly did a C-section, but luckily our baby boy decided it was going to be a natural labour.
And with that Mitchell (Mitch) Webber came into our lives!
I was so happy that we had a boy, but that meant that Emma and Mitch weren’t able to share a room when they were older, so when he was a baby we kept him in our room, also making it easier to attend to him during the night.
I started calling estate agencies, to find a new place, but there was nothing that was fitting our needs on the market. With me being in the music business, we were becoming local celebrities, and earning quite a fair bit of money from doing commercials and playing at gigs, so with that being added into the equation we decided to build our own house.
The building process was going to take 6-9 months, and in that time we had our hands full with a baby and a toddler!
Those were hard 9 months, Jamie and I didn’t sleep much, Emma was still getting used to having to share the attention and Grace was becoming your typical ‘tween’.
Slowly but surely we persevered along, managing to cherish those precious moments when Emma and Grace embraced Mitch, and milestones were reached in their lives…including Mitch’s first birthday.
We didn’t have a party, things were too hectic, and with the house being built and all the stress that came along with it didn’t help. So we just had a small private gathering.
I couldn’t believe how amazingly cute he was! He had my eyes and skin tone and Jamies hair! He was perfect and he was MY son!!!!
Finally I got the phone call we had all been waiting to hear.
“Is this Mr Webber?” The voice asked
“Yes, this is Webber” I replied
“Well we have good news for you sir! Your house has finished being built! You can move in anytime you wish!”
Things couldn’t have been better
