I'm currently in my room at the W Hotel-City Center. Other plans for this weekend having fallen through, I headed out to meet my friend Dan at his parents' in Michigan; we drove to Chicago via Ann Arbor this morning.
Random aside: I found a great pair of glasses -- perfect for the new prescription I've been procrastinating on buying -- at a store in Ann Arbor. Luckily, there's a DC branch, too, so it seems I'm set.
Alex was nice enough to invite me to the party he and theredline are hosting at their apartment here; I'm looking forward to it. I haven't seen Carm since their last visit to Washington.
After some shopping and exploring tomorrow, I'm flying back to DC for a Sunday of rest and cleaning.
