[He hangs up the phone and begins to walk toward her house. It would be too suspicious if he took the car. At least now, he can clear his head from what happened the previous weeks so they can come up with a plan.]

[Eliza is waiting for him, primly dressed with a new headband to match. Her gloved hands are crossed over a small notebook and pencil. She plans to take notes on what she sees around the police station. Interrogating Grady is going to take more then what seemed to have been done for Jane Smith. He was, after all, a dangerous man.]

And boy do these two have a lot of work to do.

[He approaches the house and notices the notebook. He thought about the mistakes with Jane Smith and how to prevent themselves from being sucked in like Netherlands and America. He gave a smile and jutted out his arm in a casual manner. He was dressed in a tan suit and brown wingtip shoes.]

[She smiled brightly at him. Ichabod was always a bright point in her day. She took one hand off the notebook and linked it into his waiting one.]

I was thinking by the precinct.

[Perfect! He wanted to get a closer look at the precinct and seeing that Eliza wanted the same thing, it only made his task far easier and he knew just how to make it work.]

Perhaps then we can see exactly how the changes work. Yes, I think a walk to the precinct is a practical idea. Are you proposing a plan to interrogate Grady? I have a few choice words to share with him providing that I am none too happy with how my home has been turned into a quiet battle zone and yours as well.

Such discord causes no trust to grow within the walls.

[She patted his hand lightly and leaned over to kiss his cheek. He was a very sweet boy, but his mind for calculating wasn't the strongest. They couldn't just stroll in and argue. They had to plan.]

Too soon dear. We need a plan. Otherwise we'll be easily droned.

[He blushed slightly from the kiss and nodded his head innocently.]

Oh, right. Planning is very important. I must remember that I am not in my proper time and certain matters have changed. Yes, a plan is most undoubtedly needed.

[He looks straight ahead as if he was focusing on a small area and headed toward it. The trouble with this was he was too driven on just one part. He furrowed his brow and looked over his shoulder at Eliza.]

Are we to watch then plan or do we plan as we go along until we can find a center opening and use that instead? What am I saying? Ah, pardon me. I seem to have lost my senses. Of course we will need to plan carefully.

[He lowered his head slightly like a chastised child.]

[Eliza paused and turned to him, running her hand through his hair and turning his head up to face her.]

You have lost one dear to you. But we must keep our ... heads.

[She was worried. Worried for them, for the plan, but mostly worried for Ichabod. He was such a kind man, so much like her darling Johann. She knew what loosing someone so dear could do to the innocent and fragile heart. She'd watched the aftermath for years.

When she next spoke her voice was a quiet hum, almost a whisper.]

Are you certain you are ready for this? We can take more time ... more time to heal.

[He looked to Eliza and shook his head slowly. It took all he had to keep himself from losing what was left of himself but he knew this needed to be done. He inhaled deeply and opened his mouth to speak. True he missed Lucrecia but what he needed to protect now were his sons and those that couldn't protect themselves.]

No. If we wait too long, we could lose our window. The time is now. With you, I can remain focused and steady. I have procrastinated long enough. I will be fine.

[He gave a gentle smile and a gentle squeeze of her hand on his arm.]

We will be fine.

[She gave a soft nod and a squeeze back.]

Then continue we will.

[She hoped that this would not be too much for her gentle friend. She fell back into step.]

We will ... as Americans say, case the joint. Then we will plan. Grady is dangerous beyond anyone else. We must be careful.

[He gave a slow and steady nod, his mind now reverts to the darker thoughts that he once repressed when the stress between losing Lucrecia and what he witnessed at the pharmacy, he now began to go into a more sinister mindset.]

Grady must be stopped. He has taken advantage of the people of this town far too often. As with any person, do you think that he would be willing to converse with us or do you think that he will take another course and not pay us the attention that we request through casual conversation? I can act as a drone. I have been observing them and assimilated their speech and mannerisms.

It may not be enough though it can prove just enough to buy us some time should we be spotted.

[He looks over his shoulder at Eliza with a small smile.]

Dangerous beauty like yours is far more fatal than anything he can offer through projectile.

[His words made her blush. Really, Ichabod was a shameful charmer, even if he had no clue of it.]

He may have a memory of those he's droned. I also doubt that he will willingly speak. We must speak with America about the riots.

[His eyes looked up for a brief moment and despite that he was oblivious to his ways, he only thought he was being polite. The moment Eliza mentioned the riots, his face turned toward her.]

Ah yes. The Major General mentioned the exact same thing. We already know that Netherlands and America were attacked at the pharmacy and we both know that Grady was behind the attacks, now the question remains why and how Grady knew that Jane would be interrogated unless the phones have been tapped.

[Eliza doubted that there was a plan in Mayfield that they didn't know.]

If we can offer him something of value, then we may get answers.
