Our spooky place
My mom, children and I just moved to a duplex in a new town. It is an upstairs/downstairs place with hardwood floors all through the house. It also has a basement. It is a pretty nice place for where we live and how much we pay for it. And it's spooked. I have only heard the stairs when everyone is sleeping but my mom has had more experiences than I have. She found an old candle in the basement and set it on the table that is down there. She went down there again the next day and the candle was thrown half way across the basement. My kids don't go down there because the steps are too steep and neither do I because of the same reason and I am 36 weeks pregnant. And I am not going to even start on the blow flies that live down there. It is really cold down there and they are everywhere.
The other times she has heard someone walking in the hall upstairs at night. My daughters sleep with us so it wasn't them getting up at night or we would know it. Whatever it is prowls the halls at night and goes up and down the stairs. Finally last night she heard things go bump in the night. It spooked her enough to where she turned on lights to go to the restroom. It bumped outside her door then it came into her room and started bumping around. We have no pets except for a little bird and 2 little fish and both are down stairs. I just thought I would share and if there are more experiences, I will definately write them down.
