I joined this community after I saw it in the spotlight... I kind of thought "Hey... yeah! I know I've had some odd experiences, maybe someone can shed some light!".... I have held off posting until now as I saw the community was very busy. I didn't want to add to the cacophony.

I've been a member of this community for probably several years now, and I recently watched it explode (due to its appearance in the Spotlight) with no small sense of mirth.

But this is the first post I have been moved to respond to.

I am a spirit medium by hobby, about to become semi-professional. About 8 years ago, I lived in a house wherein I experienced happenings very similar to the ones you describe.

I would regularly hear footsteps, booted footsteps, in the hall of my small apartment every morning between 5am and 6am. When I finally cracked it and went and bashed on my roommate's door, I found him sound asleep and barefoot.

Said unit had been renovated before we moved in, and I had an orphan light switch outside my bedroom. It would flick on/off between the hours of 1am and 2am.

Finally, my expensive Sony 5-stack DVD player that I've owned for a decade while living in 6 separate domiciles, would often turn itself on, select the Tape Deck (which I never used), and press Play. The result would be a cyclic hissing noise that would continue until I unplugged the damned thing.

I ultimately have no answers for your questions. All I can suggest is that - according to the information you have provided in this post, I do not think that whatever is causing these unusual phenomena in your domicile requires any sort of Earth-bound assistance to "Move On".
