ABOUT YOU / YOUR JOURNAL
How long have you been on LiveJournal? I've been on Livejournal since 2004 but I've had this particular journal since 2008.
What is the longest amount of time you've gone without posting? On this journal, probably for a solid month because I was traveling and didn't have my laptop with me. I let everyone know about the hiatus and came back to LJ afterward, though!
What are your posts normally about? I have written a lot about college life, which included posts about my classes, friends, guys, etc. I'm now a graduate and my journal is more about work and family for the time being. I try to travel as much as possible and I like writing up entries summarizing my trips with lots of photos too. I have special filters for certain subjects that everyone may not want to read about as well.
Is your LiveJournal friends only? Why or why not? Yes, my journal is friends only. I write about personal things and want to have a general idea of who is reading my journal. I think that is a fair enough reason.
How long do you see yourself staying on LiveJournal? I plan on using LJ for as long as possible. Blogging is good therapy for me and I've met some great people on here who I hope to meet in real life someday, so I really enjoy this site.
ABOUT YOUR FRIENDSLIST
How many people are on your friendslist, not counting private journals, media journals, etc? It is usually around 50 but I try not to go far above that number. My LJ friends vary in their activeness so I'm usually not reading 50+ entries a day. It feels like a good number to me.
Why do you choose to add a person to your friendslist? I'm not exactly sure. It has to be a combination of things, like I get a vibe that I can relate to this person and would find reading their journal interesting. I don't add people who I can't relate to in some way, which doesn't mean we need to have the same hobbies or parallel lives, but it helps. Also I will not ever add anyone who types improper grammar and/or spells badly. It gets tedious to read. And people who only write about fandoms--I like reading about your actual life first and foremost!
Is your friendslist an actual list of people you consider friends, or more of a reading list? I consider a fair amount of people on my FL to be friends, but just like in real life you always have certain levels of friendship. Some are just reading material or acquaintances, and with others I have a more substantial LJ friendship.
How often do you read your friendslist? I read it whenever I am online, so practically every day, multiple times a day.
How much do you talk to people on your friendslist off of LiveJournal? Not much actually. There are maybe one or two who I talk to on instant messenger and a bunch are facebook friends, but other than that it stays in LJ.
Do you do friends cuts? Why or why not? Yes, and I hate when it offends people but after awhile if I don't feel a good connection, like I can't relate as mentioned previously and/or we never comment on each others' journals, then I do a friends cut. I don't mean it personally at all.
How often do you add new friends to your friendslist? Every now and then, when I find somebody who seems worthwhile. I like adding new people!
Do your friends have to have things in common with you? Yes, something. From hobbies to what point in life we are at, from being a college student, in or out of a relationship to sharing a similar taste in traveling or outlook on life, etc.
ABOUT YOUR ICONS / USERPICS
How many userpics do you get maximum? How many of those slots do you actually use? I have 30 and use all of them!
Do you mostly use icons made by yourself or by others? I don't make icons so they are always from somebody else.
What fandoms are most frequently seen in your userpics? Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Supernatural, and random stock images that are pretty or cute.
How do you find icons to use? I search icon communities.
The old minimum number of userpics was three. Could you see yourself "surviving" on three userpics now? Definitely not!
What do your userpics say about you? They tell a little of what sort of things/people I am interested in, and what I find aesthetically pleasing I suppose. I pick certain icons that express a range of emotions.
If you still think we would make good LJ friends, please comment here! Don't add me until I add you =)
