Talking business. Well, that's good. Would there be alot of business to talk? I wasn't sure, but I guess I was about to be filled in on what they do here, or how they do it, which won't matter much because if I'm here, and I'm in charge, of well, getting people help, and helping and ... slaying, and ... stuff, then I have to have my own system and I think we're all going to bump heads at some point. But, I have to have it my way, because I'm the Slayer, that's just how it works, at least it did back in Sunnydale ( ... )

It was almost like old times to hear Gunn talk. Except, there was no Cordelia this time. But there was Buffy. I could almost see Cordy fuming in hell about that. But she'd know neither of us have much choice in the matter. We all saw how wrong it went last time. Certainly, we came far. But we wouldn't have survived in the end. Not just with the three of us ( ... )

What was this? They both looked at me weird and then Wes asked if I was actually getting my own place. Well, that's what I wanted to do, seeing as if I've never lived on my own and really? The idea of living with Wes and Gunn, wasn't all that exciting ( ... )

I blinked at her. She really had no idea how things worked here did she? "Yes," I said, turning toward Gunn. "Just like we had at the hyperion." Except without the lurking vampire around, destroying a punch bag every week. Wonder if Buffy has that habit too. "I think the library could also be the office, that would save some space. Is there enough room for that downstairs?"

Gunn nodded. His eyes narrowed as he thought over the lay out of the warehouse. "Yeah. Should be doable. Can divide it up just as upstairs. Make the rooms the size we want them in." He smiled a that, no doubt picturing a very large training room and weapons room. Though, I very much doubted we'd need a whole room for weapons ( ... )

I know exactly what this is. Wes has been doing it ever since he found out that Cordelia died, he's been, talking about her nonstop and probably thinking about her too but this? This is just crazy. I'm not Cordelia and that's just ... that.

"I think I can find my own place," I said, giving Wes a look and wondering who Dennis was. I frowned and looked down at my food as the table got suddenly quiet and I took a bite, trying not to be too loud on the whole chew thing.

How hard could it be to find a place? They're probably all over LA, and I'm sure there's places right next to this warehouse, or well, near it somewhere. Finally, I looked up and Gunn looked down at his food before taking another bite and I just looked away again. I swear, I'm not the little Cordelia sidekick that they had before and I don't really appreciate them trying to ... make me like her.

"There aint nothing wrong with Cord's old place," Gunn muttered. "Been empty for months now. Sure Dennis would appreciate the company." He chewed on his fries, heaving another sigh ( ... )

Ugh. Now they were both pissed off at me and it's all because I wouldn't go to Cordy's old place? What the huh? I'm not Cordy. Plain and simple, why couldn't they see that? Now if they start calling me Cordy? I'd have to like ... just leave. I didn't want to discuss that or anything else really. Just wanted to go back to the apartment and just call Giles. Hopefully he'd be all come home or something, but I had the odd feeling that he wasn't going to. Now that he had Faith, the actual Slayer, he would be okay ( ... )

"What's with that girl?" Gunn asked, glancing after Buffy as she walked away. "I mean. We's just gettin' her a nice, clean, cheap apartment. Sure there's Dennis, but he'd like the company right?" He looked at me confused.

"I don't know," I shrugged. "I've found I've been unable to keep up with her moods. I've no idea what's wrong this time. But I guess it has something to do with Cordelia. I suppose we shouldn't mention her around Buffy anymore." And god, that was painful to say. You'd think that after all we've been through, I could talk to her about anything.

"The hell I will," Gunn scowled. "She's a great fighter and all. Lookin' very much forward to teamin' up with her and learning a few new moves. But I aint gonna shut up about the girl who was like my sister and just died." Sighing, he took a draft from his drink and shook his head ( ... )

"Hold on just a minute there, Girl," Gunn started, holding up his hand.

I could only stare at her for a long moment, feeling rather stupid. That's what she'd been thinking? That we were going to try and turn her into Cordelia? I have no idea how she'd think that, but the look in her eyes was unmistakable. She could never replace Cordy, just as Cordy could never replace Buffy would the rolles be reversed.

"We weren't tryin' to do that," Gunn said, giving her a confused look. He glanced over at me with a frown. "She just died, so of course we're gonna talk a lot about her. She was like a sister to us. And well... she died" He wrinkled his nose, clearly uncomfortable with this talk. And it was good to see that underneath that newly implanted brain, the old Charles Gunn was still there ( ... )

I don't know what is going on here. One moment Buffy and I are getting along fine, the next she's acting all moody and accusing us of trying to turn her into Cordelia. Couldn't she understand that both Gunn and I were hurting because of her loss? She was never going to come back, no matter what we did. And yes, we missed her. We'd spend the better part of five years with her at our side ( ... )
