Long lost update...
So, I have been really terrible about updating this thing. Sorry about that. Life just kind of runs away with me. And unless truly momentous things happen to me I don't think to post here.
So the things that are coming up. On Saturday December 22nd, Christina and I are having a game day at our place, from 2pm to whenever. Board and card games primarily. If you want to come, just let me know, that way we can plan for the number of people coming. :-)
Next week, I am going to be in Portland Thursday December 27th to Saturday December 29th. If you want to get together at some point while I am down, please let me know and we will figure something out.
Life has been interesting. Work has been terribly hectic. We are coming up on the end of a milestone, which means that my job gets super busy. I have been averaging 10 to 11 hours a day at work. So needless to say, I am getting a bit worn out. But the job is still fun. I have to say that I am looking forward to having this next week off though. I need some relax time.
Health has been interesting. I was started on Remicade infusions for my Crohn's disease recently. Remicade blocks an element in our blood that draws anti-bodies to an area. Specifically it binds to this element in the intestines and keeps it from attracting antibodies to the lining, which keeps the inflammation and other issues down. It seems to be working, at least a bit. I am not in remission by any means, but we have to give it some more time to work still. But there has definitely been an increase in overall health and happy bodily functioning.
Finances have been pretty good. Just got my car paid off, which paves the way for credit card pay-offs as well. Then I can start saving up for the vacation I want to take in 2009 to Ireland in the Summer time. I am really looking forward to that. And the savings is also for a down payment on a house. Because by the time we have enough, my bankruptcy should be off my record. WOO! Houses up here are so damn expensive though. That is the only real issue.
