Rain Dance
Got a call from mom that they got power back tonight after Friday's storms. I was one of the lucky few that didn't lose power. I haven't figured out how I was able to fit all the meat from their upright freezer into my refrigerator freezer when I can't even pack a suitcase very well. Mom said it was so hot last night she woke up in a pool of sweat. Dad wasn't in bed and she found him asleep on the couch with a fan hooked up to the generator. He's probably lucky she didn't kill him. Today was my last day of work for the week. I am finally taking my car in for the pesky check engine light problem (O2 sensor) and some kind of rattling underneath (please let it not be exhaust or catalytic converter).
I hope everyone has a safe 4th of July. We have a burn ban that includes fireworks. You may or may not be amazed at the stupidity of the local yokels around here though. They were complaining in the newspapers about how it rained and they should be able to shoot fireworks off. Duh...go out and feel the crispy grass. I think the 5 minutes of rain with 91 mph winds pretty much blew our rain over into another state anyway or it just evaporated. These idiots just fill the air with stupidity.
