Seven weeks since I last posted about my mundane life. That was about the time I got both my IJ and GJ set up for postings. Of course, I'm at my dad's for a month while they are gambling my inheritance away in Vegas (via obligatory familial visits in Oklahoma). I like staying here for many reasons. Mostly because I grew up in this house and know it by heart. Could be the big screen tv with the new Verizon FiOs channels and my new channel find of
Ovation channel. Cool stuff on it. Last night was different shows on major art masterpieces. Tonight is performing arts. Looks like a possibly yummy show about Spanish dancer
Joaquin Cortes.
Works still sucks a big ball of phlegm. Kudos to those who enjoy customer service. I find most of the ones I deal with to be irritating. It doesn't help that the installers we use want something for nothing and to work whenever they want...not necessarily when the appointment is scheduled. I don't think I've ever taken as much Excedrin in my life as during these last 10 months.
My message count is 2017. Good God! That's a lot of freakin' drabbles and chapters to catch up on. I haven't been able to get to IJ or GJ to see what I'm missing. I guess I'll take a big breath and dive in. Thought I'd be able to spend this weekend lazing about and catching up, but opened my big mouth and said I'd stay overnight with someone's dog. Learn to freaking say NO!!! Too bad I've never bothered to listen to the other voices in my head. I still end up going along with people and then beat myself about the head over it.
I certainly hope all you are doing well. I'm packing a week at a time for my little visit to daddy's place, but I'm very sure the weather site said it was going to be hot this week. Today was a bit chilly to me. The whole A/C-heating system is off, but I went and put on a sweatshirt. I don't think it hit 80-something today like they said it would. It's about 6:30est and 64F right now. It says we should be running between 79-86 this week then hitting the 60s next week. I got start digging my fall/winter sweaters out of their ziploc bags!
Cheers everyone. I'm alive, but that's about all right now! Off to pile into the stories now.
