Sunny days!

What a beautiful day we had here! The sky stayed blue all day (or until I got off work at 5pm), it was in the low '70s, and none of those 30+ mph winds. So wonderful. Of course, it was 33 when I left for work with a cardigan and winter coat on. I rolled my coat up and put it in my bag when I left work so I wouldn't look like a complete dork. By the time I started driving home, I noticed it getting cloudier. As I left mom's (they are leaving for Oklahoma tomorrow) with my "meals-on-wheels", the whole sky was covered in clouds and it was sprinkling. It's mid-50's until Friday when it's supposed to be sunny and '60s again.

HAPPY 86th BIRTHDAY, GRANDMA!

Grandma's birthday is on April 23rd and it is one of the reasons my parents are going down to Oklahoma. Her family was dirt poor, and she married just a couple of months before her 15th birthday. She gave birth to 11 children, with 9 living to adulthood. She had a very hard life, but she has always been the most wonderful person. I'm not sure I would ever have the strength she has. From picking peanuts in an Arizona field while 6-months pregnant to having to care for a mother that had her first stroke at 35, where she had to hand wash her mother's bedding every single day...well, I guess you do what you need to, but I hope I never have to deal with that.
