I'm so disgusted. About 10% of the voters in the polls were "us" youth. That's just so disappointing. I think I heard it on the radio or something. *shrugs*
It's times like this when I think that people who keep saying that the voting age should be lowered to 15 should just shut the hell up!!!! Damn!
16 (kinda varies in florida it is 16/18) is the legal age of sexual consent, the age it is legal to drop out of school and the average age of teenage workers. Now some organizations are fighting for teenagers, ages 16 and 17, --some even as young as 15--to get the right to vote...petitioning states and the federal government to lower the voting age.
Ok, so if teens have already been hopping on that "horizontal refreshment" (because at 16 legal sexual consent: so girls slip into split and guys "git 'er done" while usually resulting making feet for children's shoes), dropping out of school and throwing their lives away...now we should give our vote to more of the young people who don't even vote when they grow of age anyway? AGH! I could spit right now. If I wasn't so tired. ;) Ehhh...I just don't know.
Gonna go nap for a little bit, then clean my damn room.
