Chapter 4

"Who- What are you?" Yunho backed off from Jaejoong's open arms, eyes going back and forth between Jaejoong and the gun on the ground. A fear more terrible than he'd ever felt before took over Jaejoong's heart as he wrapped Yunho's jacket around himself and pulled his pants back up, embarrassed and ashamed but the older man didn't even blink. How in the world had he found out? Had he done something extremely out of the ordinary and accidentally exposed the truth?

"What do you mean?" he asked, trying to fight back the tears burning his throat, "Did I do something wrong?"

"What's that thing in your eyes?" Yunho was practically fuming with anger, "You've been acting all innocent and shit! Are you even human?"

"You never asked if I was," Jaejoong bit the side of his lip, thinking that he should have been perfectly honest with Yunho from the start. The other man clearly flinched, running a hand through his hair and looking everywhere but Jaejoong. Yunho seemed to be completely out of his mind like a nervous wreck, pacing back and forth in front of the younger for a moment without knowing what to do. He ran a hand through his hair before pausing to stand.

"So you admit it," he said with a cold voice and much to Jaejoong's surprise, sat down next to him again, "Are you some kind of spy? What have you come here for?"

"Of course I'm not, I haven't lied to you!" Jaejoong exclaimed, reaching out a hand to grab Yunho's arm but the other pulled it away from his grip, "Yunho, please believe me. I would never do that!"

"I don't know what to believe," Yunho spat harshly, "Tell me the truth. Where did you come from? You're here to spy on me, aren't you?"

"But I have been telling the truth!" Jaejoong didn't even try to stop the tears at this point, "I just left some things out... I didn't know if I could trust you... You don't understand!"

"I saved you for God's sake! I could have left you there to die! The least you could do is tell me what's going on. Did you escape from a prison? Have I put myself in danger by saving you?"

"It's nothing like that," the younger told him immediately, "I just.. I..."

"What is it?"

"I was never born," Jaejoong took a deep breath and gathered all his courage, "I was engineered."

"What do you mean?" Yunho turned to look at him, now looking more bewildered than angry, "You're a machine?"

"Not entirely," Jaejoong held Yunho's gaze, deeply troubled, "I'm part human. Actually, most of me is human but I don't have any rights. That's why they had to keep us there behind locked doors, we're not worth anything in the society."

"There are more of you out there?" Yunho seemed to have trouble believing what the other was saying, "Why did they make you?"

"Not anymore, I think they were all killed in the fire," Jaejoong wiped the tears out of his eyes, "I don't know every single detail but I do know that the facility was founded some time when the war was still going on. They started making us for parents and widows and other people that had lost their beloved ones to the war, and for a certain amount of money they could make anyone come back to life. I heard it was financed by the Government before everything fell apart."

"So, you were cloned?"

"Something like that," Jaejoong nodded, "But of course it didn't go according to plan. I was one of the first they made, but when the parents that had ordered my creation came to pick me up - they didn't want me anymore. They said I was nothing like their deceased son."

"I'm sorry," Yunho mumbled without sounding angry at all. He inched closer to the other boy and wrapped an arm around his shoulder in order to provide some comfort. Jaejoong couldn't understand how he could switch from being insanely angry to being kind again in matter of minutes.

"They had no choice but to keep me there and study what they had done wrong. They tried replacing some parts but my personality didn't change. I was nothing like they had originally thought I'd be," Jaejoong had a really hard time talking about it but continued nevertheless, "They couldn't let us into the real world when we lacked all sort of basic knowledge and skills. And there was no time to educate us when new orders kept coming and they made more and more of us."

"Did they ever succeed?"

"I don't know, but I think some people we're so depressed about the deaths of their close ones that they accepted even the faulty ones to their family," Jaejoong sighed, "But I wasn't so lucky. And there was nothing we could do when we don't have any rights when it comes to the law."

"But you're nothing close to a machine!" Yunho exclaimed but paused to think, "You have feelings and... You do have them, right?"

"Of course I do," Jaejoong smiled sadly, "But it doesn't change the fact that I'm nothing more than a product nobody wants to buy. It doesn't matter how I feel, they say my feelings aren't real."

"You don't know your worth," Yunho pulled him closer, pressing his lips to Jaejoong's hair, "You should have told me the truth in the first place, I could have understood you better. I thought you were an orphan."

"You've done a really good job already," the younger lifted his gaze, "I've never felt more at home than I do with you. And I really don't know what an orphanage is, I thought everything about where I came from was normal."

"Thank you for telling me now," Yunho met Jaejoong's eyes, "I'm shocked to hear all this but... What is it that you want? You just ran away from the fire?"

"I don't know," Jaejoong admitted, "I've only been here for such a short time that I haven't even fully understood how things work around here. There's just so much I don't know and I feel so many things I haven't felt before."

"How was your life back at the facility?"

"It wasn't that bad, honestly," Jaejoong muttered, "But it was pretty boring compared to this life around here. Every day was mostly the same, eating, sleeping, talking with the people that worked there... We all had our own rooms so that we couldn't come up with anything bad. We were always supervised."

"That does sound like a prison," Yunho's voice turned tense, "How could they treat you like that? You're so smart and you learn incredibly fast... And they kept you there, locked up like animals!"

"We didn't know of anything better," the other replied, finding Yunho's hand and intertwining their fingers to have something to do with his hands, "We didn't know of this."

"Touching?" Yunho squeezed Jaejoong's smaller hand in his palm.

"Of love," Jaejoong lifted his eyes once again and they stayed there, watching each other as the light played with Jaejoong's shiny, light-gray eyes.

Truthfully speaking Yunho was much more shocked than he had first shown the other young man. For a short moment Yunho had thought that Jaejoong had tricked him and was some sort of spy, but the more he thought about it, the more he knew he had been mistaken. And so had everyone else because Jaejoong certainly was human in every single way. He felt hunger, thirst, happiness and sorrow just like an ordinary human, but because he hadn't been born in the usual way, he lacked all support the society could give to normal people. Yunho wasn't a man who blushed easily but based on the way Jaejoong had acted recently - the guy was perfectly capable of feeling even complicated things such as lust and pity. He could get hot and bothered like anyone else - just thinking about it made Yunho's toes curl. He had practically approached Yunho sexually and even stopped him from killing the fox family. That definitely wasn't how someone who couldn't feel behaved like.

Maybe Jaejoong didn't know the right way to act in social situations or what to make of his feelings, but the basic instincts every human had were still there - even if they were a little bit child-like and twisted. Yunho didn't have a clue about why Jaejoong had quite obviously developed a huge crush on him, but he didn't have the heart nor the strength to tell him off. In a way it didn't seem fair - Jaejoong didn't know a thing about birds and bees, and at this point, Yunho didn't really want, or know how to teach him. He still had no idea of Jaejoong's age and besides, he was a hopeless loner who could never take responsibility over someone else. He would break Jaejoong's poor, artificial heart and leave the kid without a place to go. Even if Jaejoong's feelings weren't completely one-sided.

It turned out Jaejoong wasn't much wiser than Yunho when it came to his creation. They lied in Yunho's bed with a can of conserved pineapple slices between them, popping a piece of the sweet fruit into their mouths one at a time and talked about everything. Jaejoong's ethereal beauty made much more sense now but still, Yunho couldn't turn away from him. He looked too cute, lying there on his back with his hair pushed out of his face and wearing one of Yunho's t-shirts that had a logo of a band printed on it.

"So what parts of you are made from steel and what parts are real?" Yunho asked, leaning his head against his palm.

"I don't know every detail but most of my organs were made from stem cells," Jaejoong explained wisely while chewing on a piece of fruit, "But the ones they couldn't clone completely are partly machine. At least that's what they told me."

"What about your brain and your heart?"

"I have no idea," Jaejoong looked up to him, deeply concerned, "I can't tell the difference."

"I saw the electrical cords in your eyes this morning," Yunho admitted, "That's why I freaked out. They were shining through and it looked terrifying. That would mean your eyes are made mechanically."

"I'm sorry," Jaejoong bit his lip, fumbling with the hem of Yunho's t-shirt, "I should have told you. But I grew up believing no-one outside the facility couldn't be trusted. I really didn't lie about anything I've told you."

"Don't worry, I know you're telling the truth," the elder assured, "I was just surprised to notice it in the heat of the moment."

Jaejoong blushed evidently and nibbled on his lower lip for a moment before speaking.

"I'm sorry I kissed you."

"So you know what it means," Yunho smiled sincerely at Jaejoong's flustered expression.

"I just wanted to do it," Jaejoong breathed out, his voice breathy and unclear, "I just want to kiss you all the time, Yunho. It felt so good."

"Why?" Yunho asked, trying his best to sound nonchalant.

"I don't know," Jaejoong answered, frustrated and embarrassed, "You tell me. You're so good at explaining things."

"I don't know it either," Yunho grinned, "That's why I asked you."

"Oh," Jaejoong said but didn't really look disappointed. He lifted an hand instead and shyly caressed Yunho's jawline with his fingertips, looking so kissable Yunho almost lost it.

Jaejoong layed in bed awake and waited for Yunho to come and sleep next to him. He'd spent a good while in the bathroom already, but Jaejoong had a feeling the older man was hoping for him to fall asleep before joining him under the covers. Jaejoong didn't understand why it was exactly, but he couldn't possibly get any rest when his mind was so full of things he didn't know what to think about first. He should have probably felt more troubled by Yunho knowing the truth, but the thing that popped into his head more often than anything else - was the kiss. Jaejoong's stomach felt ticklish just thinking about how Yunho had held him and touched him, cold hands roaming under his shirt and gently guiding him to the right direction.

He rolled over in bed, burying his face into the pillows and tried to ignore the pleasant throbbing in his lower body. The kiss had been so intensive that it had taken Jaejoong's breath away. It seemed like Yunho wanted to kiss him too - it couldn't be entirely unpleasant when the other man had gladly returned his gestures of affection. Maybe at first Jaejoong had really wanted to save the foxes from getting killed, but as soon as Yunho's lips had touched his - he had totally forgotten about their supposed dinner. As the vibrant memories of the day's events filled his mind, Jaejoong fought back the best he could from rutting against the bed sheets. Yunho probably wouldn't have liked it.

There was the sound of water coming from the bathroom and Jaejoong tried to focus on it - until an idea popped into his mind. He quickly wiggled out of his t-shirt and shorts, and pulled the blanket up to his nose, enjoying the way the soft sheets felt against his bare skin. The nervousness turned into a weird sensation that made it harder to breathe, but Jaejoong stayed silent as Yunho stepped out of the bathroom and made his way towards the bed. He sat down to the edge of it to pull the socks off his feet and lifted the blanket enough to slide next to Jaejoong's smaller body. Jaejoong struggled to keep his eyes closed and breathing even as Yunho's arms wrapped around his waist and pulled him closer into a possessive hug. It took him a while to realize Jaejoong was completely naked.

Jaejoong held his breath for so long that he started to feel a bit dizzy, but when he finally took in a much needed intake of air, he accidentally let out a little whimper that made Yunho turn tense behind him. He wanted to turn around in Yunho's arms and kiss him so much, but Yunho was stiff as a brick and clearly nervous. Just as Yunho was about to pull his hands back to himself from around the younger's waist, Jaejoong grabbed his wrist and pushed his hand down towards his privates.

"Please," Jaejoong whispered, not really knowing what he was asking for, "Yunho, please..."

The other man seemed to have a bit trouble deciding what to do but much to Jaejoong's delight, ended up holding him tighter and slowly but surely, sliding his fingers down to the soft curls of hair over Jaejoong's erection. The fingers ghosted over his sensitive skin, playing with the hair a little before thumbing the slit of Jaejoong's length and covering it with his palm. Jaejoong gasped so loudly he felt even more dizzy, legs shaking and body turning into boiling lava - completely overwhelmed by the pleasure Yunho's touch made him feel. He vaguely registered Yunho's lips kissing his neck and shoulder, his other arm wrapped around Jaejoong's waist making its way up to rub over a nipple. Jaejoong shook so hard it made Yunho pause for a second.

"Are you okay?" he mumbled against Jaejoong's hair, thumb sliding over the tip of Jaejoong's cock over and over again, wrist twisting in such pleasurable movement Jaejoong almost saw the stars.

"Ah, ah," Jaejoong tried to say something but only moans came out, "I- ah-"

"Roll over," Yunho groaned and easily switched their positions until Jaejoong was pressed against the sheets on his stomach, with Yunho's heavy body all over him. When Yunho's hips first rocked against his bare ass Jaejoong let out a whimper, his own erection squeezed between his body and the sheets. It felt really good even though Yunho's full weight made it even harder for him to breathe, his rock hard erection digging into Jaejoong's backside with every thrust of his hips. Jaejoong's stayed there, grasping the pillows in his fists until suddenly he felt bare skin on skin and realized that Yunho had pushed his own boxers away. Jaejoong was surprised by how soft the skin of Yunho's cock felt against his behind and whimpered in excitement of what was to come.

He could feel Yunho grabbing his cock and guiding it to Jaejoong's entrance, rubbing the tip up and down the cleft of his ass before applying the smallest amount of pressure. Spreading his legs and shaking all over, Jaejoong curved his back to lift his ass higher, but Yunho stayed put, merely teasing the both of them. The tip of his cock slipped inside just slightly, making Jaejoong gasp in disbelief, and then pulled back again. Yunho was breathing extremely heavily against his neck and quite obviously enjoying what they were doing. Was he seriously going to push all the way inside? Jaejoong bit his lip, nervous but too turned on to care if what Yunho was about to do was going to really hurt him. He couldn't believe his own body would accommodate such intrusion, but Yunho didn't seem to be in any hurry.

The tip of Yunho's cock forced its way inside again but this time Jaejoong felt a sharp shot of pain and let out a strained cry. However, Yunho was already pushing in deeper, cock sliding in inch by inch. Jaejoong gasped in fear, going so tense under the other man that Yunho groaned loudly and reached down to pull out again.

"It hurts," Jaejoong whimpered, flushing bright red in shame, "It hurts a lot..."

"Shh," Yunho hushed but much to Jaejoong's relief, replaced his cock with his fingers. The fingers didn't hurt nearly as much, hardly at all, as Yunho slowly pressed his middle finger inside of him. This he could handle. Mostly it only felt weird, until a certain twist of the digits thrusting into his body suddenly made him let out an unrestrained moan. Jaejoong could feel his eyes turning to the back of his skull as Yunho repeated the movement over an over again, causing huge pressure to accumulate in his lower regions until finally, everything exploded. Hurriedly, he reached a hand down his body to cup his own erection as he came, spreading his legs and humping the mattress involuntarily as the come dribbled down from between his fingers and stained the sheets. Jaejoong could barely breathe. What in the world was that?

Yunho didn't give him any time to get over his climax but flipped him over to his back, legs spread on both sides of Yunho's body as the older man took matters into his own hands and jerked himself off. Jaejoong was too exhausted to even crack an eye open but he felt Yunho's eyes on him, watching him until something warm splattered all across his stomach. The other man let out a deep groan and emptied himself over Jaejoong's pale skin, milking out the last bits of his orgasm with his hand and letting them drip down from his cock. It took a long while for Jaejoong to open his eyes and meet Yunho's gaze. Yunho was leaning back on his knees, tracing the wetness on Jaejoong's stomach with his fingers - purposely making a mess and smiling at him. Somewhere on the way he had rid himself of his shirt.

Too tired to feel embarrassed, Jaejoong spread his legs more to give Yunho a better view and returned the satisfied smirk. He had never in his life felt so high. Even though he had no clue about the cause for those pleasurable feelings, Jaejoong was too satisfied to really care.

"You're a God damn Siren, that's what you are," Yunho said with a playful smile on his lips, "Seducing me like that."

"Sorry," Jaejoong apologized without really understanding what the other had meant, and reached out to pull Yunho into a much needed kiss.

It was Yunho's turn to stay awake that night. Jaejoong had fallen asleep after a few long minutes of sloppy kissing and was now breathing deeply against Yunho's chest, but the older man felt way too guilty to be able to get any rest. He had almost lost control and fucked the poor kid, but had luckily been able to stop before it was too late. Yunho felt sick to his stomach for even thinking that a little couldn't hurt. It seemed like Jaejoong was crushing on him so utterly that he didn't even mind whatever tricks Yunho might have pulled on him. The beautiful young man deserved so much more than than an immoral, war-ridden man like him.

Jaejoong snuggled closer in his sleep and Yunho allowed himself to wrap his arms tighter around the boy, then burying his nose into Jaejoong's soft hair. Even if it would be okay to allow himself some intimacy and comfort in the darkest hours of the night, he could never lead Jaejoong on when sharing a life with Yunho would bring him nothing but misery. Jaejoong deserved to see the world and live his life, but here with Yunho, he'd be stuck in a rut. The worst thing was that Yunho was actually starting to fall for the kid. As Jaejoong's heavy breathing made him grow sleepy, Yunho wondered if it was selfish for him to want things to be just like this - always.
