Great day for soccer viewing

Lol, the US hasn't even scored a single goal this World Cup! The one goal yesterday was all thanks to an Italian player making a massive mistake and doing an own goal!
Seriously John, I can agree that the US put up a good fight because after all, they kept the 1-1 score even with only 9 players....but yeah that's exactly what it was: a fight. Come on, according to La Gazzetta (so definitely a reliable source), Italy committed 13 fouls, while the US committed 24. That's almost twice as many!!!! That's crazy. The US was determined and they definitely made us very nervous out on the field, but the Americans definitely didn't play like world-class professional soccer players. They're definitely very good at the offside tactic (lol Italy was offside a grand total of 11 times compared to only once for the US), but honestly, that's not the way to win a soccer game.
So yeah, I think that since Italy played like crap too, the tie was deserved (see, I can be objective), but you seriously can't say that the US played well and wasn't waaay too physical. It was definitely one of the worst games in the world cup so far.
