I'm a relatively recent viewer of reality TV. I held out for a long time before succumbing to my voyeuristic tendencies and tuning in to see what all the fuss was about. Nothing much as it turns out, but I still watch it every now and then. How is it that such junk can take up half our air time and we'll all avidly talk about the contestants'

I also did a room makeover and the ideas I get from watching those shows helped. You are able to access professional ideas via their examples. The other thing I like about these shows is that they often put a budget to it so it seems an acessible idea. I love all the creativity.
At the moment, after months of pregnancy/post birth recovery, I'm fashion mad and am morphing into a "What Not To Wear" nazi. I'm ardently trying to follow the rules and I look at what people around me are wearing with that analysis. I'm a lay-by queen and haven't been this obsessed with clothes since high school/uni. Once again it's the creativity and the accessibility of redressing ordinary women in the context of their shape, lifestyle and personality that seems accessible to me. I'm now frustrated by trying to find web sites about fashion that aren't about the high end, elitist stuff which doesn't interest me. After all, they steal their inspiration what what ordinary people are wearing!
