Writer's Holiday
Oops. I forget to post sometimes.
On Friday we had an excellent teacher night out in the French Quarter. We gathered at Pat O'Brien's at 5 and drank for a good four hours straight. All I can say is I need to stay away from those Category 5 margaritas for they are phenomenal but will do you in. Once festive we went over to the Cat's Meow and did a few rounds of karaoke. I can't begin to tell people how much fun I had. At some point, we went to the Pub. I have no memory of this trip. :o(
Saturday, Loy, Ashley, and I piled up in the truck and journeyed up to Laurel for Lane Williamson's wedding. It was so beautiful. She looked amazing, and I got the chance to talk, dance, and tell her I love her. The added bonus was the chance to catch up with a few Millsaps folks like McKenzie Followill, Katie Fett, and Kelly Miller. Oh and Meghan Pigott. Later that night, we all had a nice throwdown in the Hampton Inn. That will be a memory etched in my mind forever.
Today I have been sooooooo lazy. I could not get over being tired from the previous two evenings. Ended up watching Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and didn't particularly care for it. Oh well. Currently, I am packing my suitcase for my trip to Chicago tomorrow. Will be there for four days attending a conference! The bonus is I get to see Eric and Katie and I'm stoked!

Oh, I discovered a new band called Metro Station. Maybe not new to other folks but for me they are and I love them!
