Spindles suck for me.

I forgot to update my spinning adventure log from a while ago.
I got that spindle I posted about a while back in the mail a week or so ago. Tried it out, and it was painfully tiring and cumbersome. So to fix things, I went on to etsy and bought the top whorl spindle named Trixie from ford4him. I loved it. So much lighter and better spinning than the joanns one, and I got a custom engraving on it for free, check it out:

Yes, it says Killer.

So, that was fun for a while, I spun up a nicely inconsistent worsted weight until I couldn't fit anymore onto the spindle. I put wound it up on my home-made pvc pipe niddy noddy  ... 40ish yards. From an entire day of spinning. My pretend-bootcamp-doesn't-suck-so-hard-by-knitting-boyfriend-amazing-scarf-with-handspun-yarn plan wasn't going ANYWHERE with that kind of speed.

Long story short: I need a wheel. I appreciate the spindle and understand that many people LOVE it, but no. I am far too lazy and ADD to spin on a spindle. I think I might just go ahead and plonk down the cash for this   wheel, also from ford4him. I been doin' a lot of research on wheels, and I've got snowballs chance in hell of finding something cheaper.  To think, just a while back I scoffed the idea of getting a wheel.
