This is a reminder that I need to get back to watching that series. I got most way through season three and stalled in the watching.

Not snagging any but I love the coloring on row #9.

Curious question, what program do you use? Just asking because I'm wondering if I can translate that coloring style with my set up is all.

Thanks :)

I know, I've watched Season 1-3, and 5 since I have it on DVD. I keep meaning to watch the other seasons. I hated the way they made the show more about family drama and less about demon butt kicking, and what they did to Cole :( so I stopped watching it.

I use PSP 8.

I love the way the bow in your icon is lit up.

And thanks for the friending :)

A desperate attempt to not jump the shark I guess. I have no idea. Maybe if I pace myself and not try marathoning I might be able to start watching without feeling too wretched.

Ugh. Don't tell me you're one of those selective coloring fiends?

It started off brighter than the rest of the image and just got a little more so with tweaking. It's one of my favorite things about that icon.

No problem, easiest way to keep track of everything is to friend.

If I remember correctly, Brian Krauss took over after awhile as some higher up and family drama was the direction he wanted the show to take.

Def. don't watch a bunch of episodes at the same time. I've done it and it's a bummer.

Paint shop pro, no photoshop. No selective coloring. I would kill for Photoshop.

Is that how it went? Ugh. If we wanted family drama couldn't we just go watch...I dunno full house or 7th heaven re-runs?

Yeah. An episode or two at a time's probably the wisest way to go. Even if it does take longer.

Right. Sorry to confuse the two.

-shifty look-
So how did you get that blue coloring style then? XD

ARGH I had this hute comment and LJ ate it.

Okay, I'm half asleep so I hope this makes sense. I don't know what program you use either.

I used different layers, def. a layer filled with a color similar to #80FFFF or paler. I also like to fiddle with color balance and mixer layers to get bluish colors.

I know I used variations of this tutorial on some icons in that batch: http://smilexxagain.livejournal.com/7833.html

Just fyi:
I love this. It has icons that show what various colors set on various layers can do. http://justaddcolor.livejournal.com/5416.html

This is a great community if you've not already heard of it. I love trying stuff out and I learn new stuff all the time from other users. And you can ask questions too. http://community.livejournal.com/icon_tutorial/

Hope that helps =D

I'll certainly be looking around. I tend to stick the the gimp only tut community because well... I'm tired of seeing all those really great looking tutorials that have that stupid selective coloring step in them. Makes me annoyed to no end.

Thanks allot! The color set one was really interesting. I tend to stick to more primary colors. Pure blue, pure green, pure magenta, black, and the like when it comes to layers.

Glad something helped! Do you use gimp? And can you link me to the gimp only comm?

I really want photoshop for the selective coloring. But it gets irritating trying to find tuts for paint shop pro. There is a tag for paint shop pro in the community and most posts say if they use selective coloring so that should help.

http://community.livejournal.com/gimp_tutorial/ There you go. ^_^

Only way I see myself getting photoshop wouldn't be exactly legal. One thing to download an mp3 now and then but Photoshop? That's a whole different ballgame.

I did see that. Rather nice of them to do that.

Aaaand I forgot the second half of my comment.

I agree with you about the family drama! I don't want to watch Full House with witches. If you have a scifi/fantasy show, why not make it different. I would love to see a show take the cop show approach with cases, you know have a bad guy, find out who the bad guy is, kick his butt then call it a day. I don't necessarily need to know about all the stuff going on when the cops go home. I know Charmed had that to a degree, but there were a lot of episodes that were mostly family crap.

hehe shifty eyes
