You know, I always did wonder what I would look like as a redhead, but I was against the idea of bleaching. As it turns out, I was making the right decision all along. Red is not my color. Classic black it is.

Perhaps. Or just passionate.

You shouldn't have said anything publicly.

Why not? I was taking a stance.

And you shouldn't have. It wasn't your place or your responsibility, Claire.

It's not about responsibility or whether or not it's my place. It's about sticking up for someone you care about in a trying time.

[hathborne]

And if you're not careful, it's going to be a trying time for you. Unless you forget what happened the last time that man got involved with my family.

It makes me uncomfortable, Claire. I'm sure that it would make your father uncomfortable.

[adamantined]

My father broke Mohinder's nose. Of course it would make him uncomfortable. He also isn't here right now, and even if he was, I'd still feel the same way. People should be helped and supported when they're sick, not shuffled off to the side because they make us feel uncomfortable.

This isn't about shuffling the sick. This is about not making other people's troubles your own without a very good reason. Don't paint a target on your back because others lack discretion.

[adamantined]

I have a very good reason.

[hathborne]

And what do you think your good reason is?

[adamantined]

He's my friend, and I care about him. He took care of me when I was here without anyone else, and he deserves the same treatment. He took my name off the list.

[hathborne]

It's dangerous.

But I have no control over you, obviously. Do what you want. But remember that you refused my advice.

What do you think will happen, then? What do you think I should do?

I don't know yet.

[adamantined]

Then I'm going to keep defending him. Even if I think it was wrong, even if I think it was stupid.
